I actually hate this toaster. It doesn't "pop" things up enough to actually grab with your hands. You really need to reach (and burn) your fingers trying to get anything out. If you are strictly toasting large bread slices and bigger it is ok. Otherwise (pancakes etc) do not buy.

I wanted a toaster that 1) would allow me to lift the toast out so I would no longer burn my fingers and 2) accommodate large pieces of bread such as sourdough rounds. This Breville does nicely accommodate large pieces of bread and does toast very nicely and evenly.

I'm surprised at the poor reviews so far, I've been happy with pretty much anything made by Breville. This toaster is on the expensive side for how basic it really is. But it stands out with solid construction, the red LEDs give a slight modern / tech feel, and it does a nice job at toasting.

Can one say that a toaster looks good, with its bright lights, sleek lines well this one ticks all the right boxes, It may sound strange but my bread was toasted too perfection, no limp warm bread or burnt and hard like my previous one. great features, can't wait to try the other settings.

Reading the hundreds of conflicting reviews around the Internet on toasters, I was expecting the worst from any toaster I bought, but this model has yet to cause any issue after weeks of use.
