Good but think it could be better

Everything we have used it for has been very good so far with the exception of the bowl material. From looking on the internet, I believe the bowl is meant to be BPA free, and made from polycarbonate. We have a Vitamix and the jug is also made from polycarbonate.

Amazing machine

Bought machine 2 weeks ago, JB HIFI delivered it to us within a couple of days to Karratha. Misses is stoked so I should be right for another year I'd say! Can get cheaper versions which I'm sure still cut potatoes, but happy I paid a couple bucks more to get additional attachments which we use. Happy with Breville brand, quality assured.

Fantastic..but..

The machine is great..gives a feeling of being well made with quality parts. But it does not do everything seamlessly. When dicing, food often gets stuck and you have to use the attachment to push it down, which is quite annoying until you get the hang of it. Also when using the small chute, you need to remove the measuring cylinder which is not easy to do, especially if you have adult size fingers All that aside though, it dramatically reduces food prep time, perfectly grates and when dicing the food is diced in uniform sizes Overall i love it amd would definitely buy again

I cannot believe I found this Bug

I wrote a 5 stars review in Nov 2019, and I will stand by it. The product does everything it is designed to do, and then some. I make a batch of muffins every two weeks. Last month, I let the dough mix a little longer than usual, and the processor shut itself off. The cord was warmer than I expected. To my surprise, and disappointment, I noticed that the cord is 18 AWG. Really? On a 1200 W motor? The cord should be at the very least 16 AWG. My brother, a certified electrician, agrees. The 18 AWG cord is at it's limit in the 1000 W, Breville Sous Chef® 12. My issue now is that, if I replace the cord, two things will happen: 1) I could void the 25 year warranty on the motor 2) I lose the use of the very practical "easy pull" Breville cord plug.

A good food processor

Why 4 stars then? Well, if you are chopping your veggies for the week with your knife and board, you will be washing 2 things. If you use the food processor, you will be washing 15 or more pieces. The time it takes cleaning the pieces balances out the time it saves in processing, unless you are processing a very large quantity. The peeler is good enough but far from perfect. Very well built, well thought out, but takes up space on your benchtop. Very good at what it does but if you thought it will save you time, I can tell you: it won't.

Beyond expectations !!

I have owned several food processors through my years of cooking and used to go with the Cuisinart then also tried KitchenAid. None has lived up to this amazing machine. In fact, I am so pleased that I ordered the kit with the 16 mm and 8 mm dice Going to use it now to make stew a d have all the veg perfectly diced. I have used every feature. French fry , julienne , adjustable slice, shred, peeler, dicing mixing and chopping. Simply the best !!!!! I can do more in less tome with perfect results. Thank you Breville
