Blends well enough - but taking it apart for cleaning and then re-assembling takes far too much wrist-strength and dexterity. Especially difficult is the re-assembly process! The person stuck with the task needs a degree in mechanical engineering, the strength of Tarzan and the patience of Job. Consequently, our blender rarely gets taken apart and cleaned well, and we have become accustomed to fishy tasting smoothies. Beware! Before buying this or any blender, see it taken apart and re-assembled. YHBW!
