Bowers & Wilkins PX7 review

The PX7s improve on B&W’s maiden noise-cancelling effort in every way. The redesign places greater emphasis on comfort and the headphones are all the better for it, while noise cancellation is as effective as you’ll find. Throw in the inclusion of aptX Adaptive and you’ve got quite a package. Oh, and they sound pretty flipping good too. Other brands might offer a few more features, but if you’re looking to buy (or hoping to receive) some new headphones this Christmas, the PX7s are a superb choice.

Adaptive noise-cancelling works well; Fantastic sound ; Solid battery life ; Wear sensors more reliable than the PX;

No Google Assistant, Siri or Alexa ; Don’t fold inwards;

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 Review

With the Bowers & Wilkins PX7 has yet again produce a worthy headphone, with great sound and some excellent features. The ANC is good, if not as strong as other headphones and the weight may be troublesome for some, but nevertheless these are one of, if not the, finest-sounding wireless headphones at their price point.

Big, textured sound; 30 hour battery life; Wear sensor technology; Ambient pass-through mode;

ANC could be stronger; Pricey; Wireless can get choppy in busy areas;

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 review: Leading ANC audio performance with aptX Adaptive for good measure

Bowers & Wilkins does it again - producing a superb pair of wireless ANC headphones that do not compromise on audio performance. They are also lighter and more comfortable than the company's previous flagship model. Excellent stuff all round.

Superb audio performance from large drivers; Better and lighter headset design; Robust feel; Excellent noise cancellation; 30 hours battery life;

Not quite as premium-looking as predecessor; Flat-folding design rather than bend-in earcups;

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 Review

We've seen an influx of good noise-cancelling wireless headphones over the last year. Bose may still have the edge, but it's facing serious competition from Apple, Sennheiser, and others, including the subject of this review, the Bowers & Wilkins PX7. At $399.99, they're priced to compete with the Bose Noise Cancelling headphones 700, and the good news is, they mostly hold their own. The sound signature is rich, with excellent sub-bass that doesn't overpower, and the ANC is quite effective. Moreover, the design is attractive, comfortable, and easy to use. Consider the PX7 a luxurious, music-lover's alternative to the Bose model. Design The PX7 headphones are available in gray or silver models, with a fabric-lined headband, earcups with a stylishly mottled plastic, and smooth leather on the earpads and underside of the headband for a luxurious look and feel. The earpads and headband are amply cushioned with memory foam. The cups swivel on hinges for a secure, relatively tight fit, ...

The Bowers & Wilkins PX7 headphones balance strong wireless noise cancellation with excellent audio performance for a very high price.

Powerful audio performance with rich bass depth and sculpted highs; Strong ANC with multiple modes; App allows ambient levels to be mixed in with ANC; Can be used in wired mode

Expensive; ANC is quite good, but not best in class; Sculpted sound signature isn't for everyone

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 Wireless Headphones review

If you’re looking for class-leading wireless, noise-canceling headphones and you're not put off by a premium price tag, Bowers & Wilkins’ latest flagship pair are well worth considering. The cheaper Sony WH-1000XM3 rivals may be slightly better value, but with best-in-class sound quality and design, not to mention very decent ANC and battery life, the PX7s are stellar acts indeed.

Best-in-class sound quality; Competitive battery life; Robust Bluetooth connection; Dapper design; ;

Earcups don’t collapse; No swipe/touch playback controls
