B&W P7 Wireless

If you're looking for over-ear Bluetooth headphones, you're probably going to be making your selection based on four main factors: their sound quality, their aesthetics, their comfort and their price.

Stylish design; Good audio quality; Easy usability

Nothing of note

Bowers and Wilkins P7 review

For all its audiophile heritage and reputation as something of a style connoisseur, it is strange that Bowers & Wilkins has until now abstained from competing in the higher-end headphone space with the launch of its B&W P7 over-ears.

Gorgeous design with quality materials; not too ostentatious for over-the-ear headphones and can be worn out and about; superb audio performance with all types of music and movies

Some sound leakage outwards means you'll be sharing with those in your immediate surroundings; hardly budget (but they don't look or sound it

B&W P7 Wireless review

B&W has never made a disappointing pair of headphones yet, and the P7 Wireless aren't going to buck the trend. In fact they're absolutely excellent P7, setting a lofty standard that rivals in this price range will struggle to emulate. B&W has built a pair of Bluetooth headphones that impress with their stunning sound quality, elegant looks, premium comfort and slick, user-friendly Bluetooth controls. There’s really no downside to these cans at all - unless, of course, you're operating on a tight budget. If you can afford them, they belong on your shopping list. Bowers & Wilkins P7

It almost impossible to describe the auditory feeling derived while listen to music with the Bower & Wilkins P7 headphones. Everything is balanced and clear, it feels like you are in a cloud of music that fills you auditory senses. When I say balanced, I truly mean every thing.

Barely a word against, and much praise for the P7s, then, which well represent B&W's usual combination of luxurious design and sonic prowess.

Bowers & Wilkins P7 headphone review

Even with all the headphones I review, there are times when I need a break and return to a reference headphone. For me it was the Bowers & Wilkins P5-incredibly comfortable with great sound. No more. The B&W P7 headphone have replaced the P5. The P7s are more than just a bigger P5.

First-rate design and construction; Exquisite audio quality; Replaceable cord; Easy to drive; Foldable

Expensive; Not as much long-term comfort as less expensive P5 or P3; Carrying case

If you're like me, and have had the impression that you need wires with a high price tag to really enjoy headphones, then you should do yourself a favor and try the P7's. With a free 60-day return policy, Bowers & Wilkins couldn't make it any easier. As for me…I'm buying the review pair of P7's!

Bowers and Wilkins P7 headphones review

Unboxing the P7's is an occasion. Slide the cover off the box and the headphone's sit folded on a platform. Keeping these headphones in the box is a great idea as they can be grabbed when wanted and displayed to passer-bys when not.

Bowers & Wilkins P7 Wireless Headphones Review

It was way back in 2013 that we reviewed Bowers & Wilkins P7 headphones. The headphones exuded luxury and they sounded great. Here in 2016, Bowers & Wilkins has finally taken the plunge into wireless with the P7 - the company ended its long abstinence from wireless in 2014, and has slowly been...

Superb audio with strong bass and balanced mids and highs; excellent battery life; top-notch premium build quality that exudes luxury and durability; excellent (passive) noise isolation; folds for easier storing when traveling; work as wired headphones; good quality when making calls; included...

Cable lacks an inline mic for making calls; bulky size means its style might not be for everyone; strong bass isn't for everyone's audio tastes either
