Bowers & Wilkins P7 Wireless Headphones Review

It was way back in 2013 that we reviewed Bowers & Wilkins P7 headphones. The headphones exuded luxury and they sounded great. Here in 2016, Bowers & Wilkins has finally taken the plunge into wireless with the P7 - the company ended its long abstinence from wireless in 2014, and has slowly been...

Superb audio with strong bass and balanced mids and highs; excellent battery life; top-notch premium build quality that exudes luxury and durability; excellent (passive) noise isolation; folds for easier storing when traveling; work as wired headphones; good quality when making calls; included...

Cable lacks an inline mic for making calls; bulky size means its style might not be for everyone; strong bass isn't for everyone's audio tastes either

Bowers & Wilkins P7 Wireless

The Bowers & Wilkins P7 Wireless is the best Bluetooth headphone money can buy -- and it looks it, lavished in leather and brushed aluminum. Music sounds astonishingly detailed and rich, experts say.

Outstanding sound quality; Truly portable; Luxury build; Very comfortable

Bluetooth audio can't quite match non-Bluetooth headphones

More than three weeks have passed since we received the P7 headphones and not a day has gone by without them stealing glances and leaving us to wonder how B&W fused technology and art so effortlessly.

Exquisite design; Portable headphones; Fantastic sound for almost every genre

Heavy after long listening sessions

Bowers & Wilkins P7 Headphones

Back in 2010, Bowers & Wilkins established the gold standard for Apple headphone industrial design. Its P5 was the sexiest pair of headphones ever marketed towards Apple users, using leather, aluminum, and chrome accents to upgrade a product category that had become stale -- at a $300 price.…

B&W P7 Wireless review

B&W makes top-quality headphones, and the P7 is widely regarded as a good over-ear choice if you have around £300 to spend. The P7 Wireless is essentially the same headphone but with Bluetooth and a built-in battery. See also: Best headphones to buy

Bowers & Wilkins P7 Headphone

The Bowers & Wilkins P7 continues B&W's evolution as a world-class headphone manufacturer.

Bowers & Wilkins' first over-the-ear headphone; Unique styling; Lavish build quality

Not quite as graceful looking as B&W's onear models

Bowers & Wilkins P7 Wireless review: cutting the cord, keeping the bass

Costing $399.99, the P7 Wireless is $50 dearer than the regular, wired P7. By itself, that might be a reasonable premium to pay for the added convenience, but the P7s were already pricey, which nudges the new model into the very top of the consumer premium bracket.

Aluminum frame; sheepskin leather; and memory foam; Highly enjoyable; bass-rich sound signature; Battery lasts a long time and doesn't add noticeably to the weight; They sound their best under the worst listening conditions

Fit is tight enough to be fatiguing after an hour's use; Bluetooth connection can be unreliable; Pricey for a set of fun cans; They sound their best under the worst listening conditions

Bowers & Wilkins P7 Wireless

The beautifully designed Bowers & Wilkins P7 Wireless delivers a rewarding Bluetooth listening experience.

Powerful, vibrant audio performance with excellent bass response and clarity in the highs; Lovely, luxurious design; Includes a cable for passive listening

Very expensive; Headband can feel a tad uncomfortable on long listening periods; Cable has no inline remote or mic

B&W P7 Wireless review

B&W has never made a disappointing pair of headphones yet, and the P7 Wireless aren't going to buck the trend. In fact they're absolutely excellent P7, setting a lofty standard that rivals in this price range will struggle to emulate. B&W has built a pair of Bluetooth headphones that impress with their stunning sound quality, elegant looks, premium comfort and slick, user-friendly Bluetooth controls. There’s really no downside to these cans at all - unless, of course, you're operating on a tight budget. If you can afford them, they belong on your shopping list. Stylish, comfortable design; Superb audio performance; Easy to use and live with;

Nothing worth noting;
