HomeTechTell Review: Bowers & Wilkins P5 Mobile Headphones

I'm a pesce-pollotarian, which I know sounds like a spooky offshoot of the Anglican Church, but really it's just a snooty way of saying I don't eat mammals: no cows, no pigs, no horses or monkeys or golden retrievers, and certainly no adorable little sheep.

Bowers & Wilkins P5 review

Last year the British manufacturer of the Stenying Research Establishment gave us the Zeppelin and Zeppelin mini iPoddocks. Now they developed headphones which, they say, promises a natural and unfatiguing listening experience. Quite the promise by B&W who produce the P5 headphones.

Apple-device control integrated in cable; Practical carrying pouch included; Good sound quality; Excellent finish; Mobile hi-fi approach

Turning ear pads require some time to get used to; Headbands pressure needs some time to adjust to your head's shape

Bowers and Wilkins P5 headphones

Renowned for it high-end hi-fi, Bowers and Wilkins' decision to make headphones is a bit of a departure for the company. At first glance, its debut set of cans, the P5s, certainly appear an impressive addition to its respected range of audio porn.

Bowers and Wilkins P5 headphones

Overall, the Bowers and Wilkins P5 headphones are an utter delight, but at £250, they're not for the shallow pocketed. Sonically, they deliver and appear built to last too. So if you're into sound that much, then the P5s are worthy of serious consideration.

Bowers & Wilkins P5

Bowers & Wilkins is a brand that's synonymous with (very) high-end hi-fi equipment. For a few years now, B&W has been expanding into new product markets with devices like the Zeppelin iPod speaker or the Panorama sound...

Luxury design; high-quality manufacturing; excellent finish; Robust design; Flattering sound output

Sound is a bit too warm and thus less accurate; Sound is a bit limp; Not the most compact; lightweight headphones around

Great Match for iPad

This review is from: Bowers & Wilkins P5 Mobile HiFi Stereo Headphones I bought these when I got my iPad for a brief hospital stay and they performed flawlessly with very deep bass and gentle treble; because of the microphone in the default cable, they can be used as a headset with an iPhone or with

Yes amazingness. No it is not a real word, but it is the only way to describe the quality, build, comfort, and sound of the Bowers & Wilkins (B&W) P5 headphones. Quality/build: Here's the rundown: memory-foam-padded earphones, sheepskin earcups, interchangeable cables, no exposed ports, detachable...

Bowers & Wilkins P5

British company Bowers & Wilkins (or how it's more commonly known, B&W) has been making high-end speakers since Dr Phil started wearing long pants. Only in the past couple of years has the company dabbled in multimedia, but it has done so with great success: both of the Zeppelins and the MM-1...

Luxury build and styling; Even-handed yet exciting sound; Replaceable cables with iPhone mic

Flimsy cable easily broken; Treble can become harsh
