B&W P5 Headphones

Curiosity got the best of me when the assignment came to listen to B&W's new headphones.  As far as I knew, Bowers and Wilkins was not a name I had previously associated with headphones.  The P5 is their first headphone and is part of a new group that B&W calls Mobile Hi-Fi.

Bowers & Wilkins P5 Portable Headphone/Headset

While my obsessive desire for very high fidelity wasn't satisfied with the Bowers & Wilkins P5, my desire for a good listening experience on the move certainly was. The emphatic but tight bass response, coupled with a balanced warmish tilt and laid-back highs, made for a very pleasant and...

HomeTechTell Review: Bowers & Wilkins P5 Mobile Headphones

I'm a pesce-pollotarian, which I know sounds like a spooky offshoot of the Anglican Church, but really it's just a snooty way of saying I don't eat mammals: no cows, no pigs, no horses or monkeys or golden retrievers, and certainly no adorable little sheep.

Good Earphones but lousy service in India

I have been using this for more than 3 years now. Cons a) The apple certified cable wore out with in one year and the next cable is broken now. b) The leather pads have become kind of sticky and there is a strange glue kind of sticky material c) Over the ear design causes nuisance sometimes if you...

Bowers and Wilkins P5 Wireless review

Without wanting to sound too much like a disappointed Gordon Ramsey, judging some inept chef... Damn, these are some frustrating headphones. On one ear Bowers and Wilkins' first wireless headphones sound utterly fantastic and I don't want to take them off my head, but on the other the vagaries of...

Bowers & Wilkins P5 Wireless Headphones Review

Bowers & Wilkins has turned one of our favorite pairs of wired headphones into a magnificent pair of wireless headphones. And just like the wired version, the P5 Wireless looks, feels and sounds luxurious. We also can't get over how crazy comfortable they are.

Phenomenal build quality; crazy comfortable to wear; great noise isolation – even on a busy street; audiophile performance; good call quality; folds flat for travel; pretty lightweight; luxurious design; as soon as you plug in a 3.5mm cable the battery is smart enough to automatically shut off; up...

I still haven't found what I am looking for

Looking for the perfect pair of wireless headphone, comparison made with BeoPlay H6 and H8. There are a lot of headphones on the market nowadays, finding the right pair takes time and money. Everyone has unique taste in style and sound, therefore every review is subjective.

Has going wireless come at the expense of B&W's signature sound?

The P5 Wireless borrows its good looks from its sibling, the second-generation P5. Black leather generously upholsters the sumptuous band and the on-ear cups. Extending from the band are metal spokes, which elegantly criss-cross, before reaching chamfered nameplates.

Elegant design; Wireless audio with aptX support; Above-average sound quality; Excellent battery life

Convenience of wireless is offset by a number of compromises; Narrow sound image
