This review is from: Bowers & Wilkins P5 Mobile HiFi Stereo Headphones I bought these when I got my iPad for a brief hospital stay and they performed flawlessly with very deep bass and gentle treble; because of the microphone in the default cable, they can be used as a headset with an iPhone or with
Overall, the Bowers and Wilkins P5 headphones are an utter delight, but at £250, they're not for the shallow pocketed. Sonically, they deliver and appear built to last too. So if you're into sound that much, then the P5s are worthy of serious consideration.
I've been through THREE pairs of these and each time they've started to fall apart within a month. First pair was for Christmas, left cup's audio connection got severed some how. I could jiggle it about a bit and get small bursts of sound, sent it in for repairs and got a new unit.
Very comfy; good sound quality at first
Appalling durability
After 6 months of deliberation I finally took the plunge!!. I was already a devotee of B & W as a Zepellin user, and was not disappointed. Firstly the design is a class leader, and comfortable. A little tight but no doubt the set will loosen up with up with time.
Not cheap but as you would expect from a Bowers & Wilkins product quality sound & finish.Have used these with a wide range of music and have not been dissatisfied.Buy these and enjoy!!
Best headphones on the market, won't find a better built, finish and sound anywhere.
There's no shortage of Bluetooth headphones at the $400 price point, but the Bowers & Wilkins P5 Wireless may very well sit at the very top of this populous mountain. At $399.99, the on-ear headphones are a significant investment, to say the least.
Fantastic audio performance with rich, articulate lows and crystal clear highs; Smart, handsome design with secure, comfortable fit; Wired, passive mode automatically shuts off battery
Expensive; Included cable lacks remote control
Serious music listeners would do well to look to one of the most revered speaker makers to find good headphones. I'm referring to Bowers & Wilkins, more commonly known as B & W. The new B & W P5 Mobile Hi-Fi headphones are promoted as a 'Concert for One'. Is the concert worth the price of a ticket?
The sound quality from the P5s is top notch, and each note is clear and crisp. However, the design doesn't contribute to chest rattling bass.
Wonderful for a full range of sound; the P5 headphones emit brilliant highs; mids and lows
The on-ear design can't give you pounding bass and doesn't protect from ambient noises; but it tries to by sitting very tightly your ear lobes
