Bowers & Wilkins P5 Mobile Hi-Fi Headphones

Bowers & Wilkins' P5 Mobile Hi-Fi Headphones have blown away several of our long-held beliefs: First, they've demonstrated that circumaural muffs aren't the only means of isolating outside noise and preventing sound leakage in a traditional headphone design; second, they've proven that large drivers

Exquisite sound; impeccable design; decadent comfort

Bowers & Wilkins P5 review

Last year the British manufacturer of the Stenying Research Establishment gave us the Zeppelin and Zeppelin mini iPoddocks. Now they developed headphones which, they say, promises a natural and unfatiguing listening experience. Quite the promise by B&W who produce the P5 headphones.

Apple-device control integrated in cable; Practical carrying pouch included; Good sound quality; Excellent finish; Mobile hi-fi approach

Turning ear pads require some time to get used to; Headbands pressure needs some time to adjust to your head's shape

B&W P5 review

The P5's bring not only the trademark audio quality associated with the brand, but also a beautiful design. With an SRP of £250, they certainly come at a B&W-like price too.

Bowers & Wilkins P5

Bowers & Wilkins is a brand that's synonymous with (very) high-end hi-fi equipment. For a few years now, B&W has been expanding into new product markets with devices like the Zeppelin iPod speaker or the Panorama sound...

Luxury design; high-quality manufacturing; excellent finish; Robust design; Flattering sound output

Sound is a bit too warm and thus less accurate; Sound is a bit limp; Not the most compact; lightweight headphones around

Bowers & Wilkins P5 review Review

If you're looking for a high-end set of headphones to wear out and about, the P5s will prove well worth a look. They're pricey, but they offer fantastic sound quality, an appealing design and sturdy construction, as well as a useful in-cable remote control for iPods and the iPhone 3GS

Excellent sound quality; Good noise-isolation capability; Sturdy construction; Appealing design; Useful in-cable remote control for iPods and the iPhone 3GS

Thin and delicate cable; Low end may prove too dominant for some
