Love the game. Had a steam copy with wanted a hard copy. Cant beat the EGGS price. Purchased for a single digit number

Lots of fun; Better in multiplay mode with each person representing a different class; Billions of different types of guns

Tuff to find a really great gun

Borderlands

Finally, a videogame with the balls to depict the generic post-apocalyptic wasteland as it really will be: utterly boring and lifeless. Borderlands takes place on Pandora, an Arizona-like planet where the bleakness is offset by its cel-shaded-esque appearance.

I'm surprised at the lowish score that this DLC has received. (I do believe in my 8 rating, though, I"m not "balancing out for lower ratings"). I consider this the best of the 4 DLC for Borderlands 1. Fun, interesting quests, a good story, satisfying battles, good rewards, etc.

Review: Borderlands

Borderlands shares a few traits with last year’s Fallout 3… it’s a shooter with RPG elements, it takes place in a desert wasteland, and yes… there’s also a Vault.

Cel-shaded graphics look cool; Weapon system allows for infinite possibilities; The ‘Second Wind’ mechanic can save you from certain death; Quest system lets you clean out multiple objectives at once

Item management can be overwhelming for the uninitiated/uninterested, Enemy A.I; can be a little on the stupid side, Text can be a little too small to read for smaller televisions

Borderlands: A first person shooter for freaks and geeks

It's also got the worst case of gun envy we've ever seen, but let's contemplate one neurosis at a time, shall we? Set on the desolate world of Pandora (not that Pandora), Borderlands pitches you as a mercenary in search of the legendary Vault - a treasure trove of alien artefacts that, at some point...

Borderlands Review

The development of Borderlands is a sordid affair, full of initial promise, complete rehauls, and delays a plenty. The final push towards release started last year with its reset in art style and adjustment in direction, then at E3 we got to catch up with the developers who genuinely seemed to think...

Borderlands Review

On the hostile, bandit-ridden planet of Pandora, there is one thing that draws off-world attention: The Vault. This mysterious alien structure is rumored to hold treasures of fantastic power and wealth, and so it attracts fortune-seeking corporations and individuals alike.

Satisfying gunplay; Tons of weapons; shields; and helpful items; Four unique and equally fun-to-play characters; Distinct; appealing artistic style; Great system of rewards

Lonelier; slower-paced for a solo player; Massively unsatisfying "climax" Lackluster loot sharing system
