Borderlands

Borderlands is a fun game that is marred by a thin story, simple quest design, lack of customization options and no dedicated servers. But don't let such flaws stop you from checking it out.

Borderlands

Borderlands is good. Borderlands is very good. Borderlands is so good that it's kept me away from "Game of the Year" Uncharted 2 for over two weeks. And it's not like Uncharted 2 is a poor game, it's not, but Borderlands (and let's keep this between you and me), Borderlands is better.

A brilliant pastiche of role-playing and shooting; taking the best of both worlds and melding it into an unstoppable force of a game

The language and content is strictly adult only; but you just know that young kids will be playing this; even if they shouldn't

Borderlands Review

Borderlands is definitely better for shooter fans interested in RPGs, rather than RPG fans looking for more action.

Borderlands

First off, if you must get it, don't get the PC version. It's buggy, the multiplayer is lacking, and it releases and updates behind the consoles. If you DID get it, well, let's try to focus on the positive.

Borderlands Review

Borderlands is an undeniably fun game with a killer concept, innovative game mechanics, a gorgeous art style, and kick-ass cooperative gameplay, but it also includes some frustrating design choices that require the player to bend to the limitations of the game.

Amazing combat; millions of possible weapons; fun mashup gameplay

Friends must be same level for multiplayer; no mini-map; no world map; no goal marker in fast travel

Review: Borderlands (PC)

Walking into Borderlands, I was unsure what to expect from the game.  From its onset, it had been plagued with comparisons to Fallout 3 or Diablo (including from yours truly), leading to the distinct possibility …

Borderlands Review

In the world of videogame ideas, first-person shooters set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland are becoming tired, but still profitable. Whether created as a gateway for bloodthirsty gamers to commit acts of genocide against zombies, mutants, and bandits without remorse, or as a shortcut for developers...

Borderlands: The Secret Armoury of General Knoxx review

It's a case of third time's a charm for this DLC. Simply put, it's a must-buy for any Borderlands fan.

Increased level cap; Awesome new loot to find and use; New vehicles which are fun to ride in with friends; Plenty of new enemies to fight; Decent narrative for the missions; More of that great Borderlands sense of humour.

The environments don't add anything that new; Might be a bit too "more of the same" for some people; Difficulty scaling is a bit off.

Borderlands (PC)

Borderlands is a unique first-person shooter (FPS) and role-playing game (RPG) hybrid from Gearbox Software. While other games combine a first-person perspective with a role playing game, or the other way around, Borderlands is unique among these.

Borderlands: A first person shooter for freaks and geeks

It's also got the worst case of gun envy we've ever seen, but let's contemplate one neurosis at a time, shall we? Set on the desolate world of Pandora (not that Pandora), Borderlands pitches you as a mercenary in search of the legendary Vault - a treasure trove of alien artefacts that, at some point...
