Bodycount Review

" Bodycount " had the potential to be an excellent little arcade shooter. The engine works; the team showed promise, but the end product is a bland and repetitive shooter, with a couple of memorable ideas and moments, that is also let down by truly abhorrent multiplayer matchmaking.

Flawed, bloody shooter has over-the-top action.

Parents need to know Bodycount is a very violent and bloody action game played from an immersive first-person perspective. Even the game's marketing materials talk up the arcade-like violence with phrases such as a "cinematic orgy of shooting and wanton destruction" and "mouth-watering arsenal of...

With the gaming industry, especially the First Person Shooter genre, heavily dominated by titles such as Call of Duty and Halo, it makes you wonder if there is room at the top for another big name title.

Bodycount

Bodycount unfortunately has only a few things going for it. One is the in-your-face visual style. It doesn't stack up to Crysis 2 or Gears of War 3 , but as long as the action stays hot, it's not unattractive.

Bodycount

Bodycount could be called the spiritual successor to Black , Criterion Games' epic destruction fest; however it soon becomes clear that whilst its predecessor revolutionised visceral combat, Bodycount is simply a bare shell of a game.

Bodycount

Bodycount is Codemaster's latest attempt at establishing a foothold in the already overcrowded shooter genre. It's the spiritual successor to the enjoyable albeit flawed Black, which came out all the way back in 2006.

Slightly underrated blast-fest

If you were to type the phrase "gamespot bodycount 360" into the world's most famous Internet search engine, there's a chance you'd find a review and a helpful gameplay video clip together on a web page out there on the Internet.

What we have here is yet another FPS (first person shooter) game; While nothing new is brought to the table here per-se, what is there isn't terrible either; If you're expecting this game to be on the level of Halo, Call of Duty, or even one of Serious Sam titles, you're not going to be amazed by...

Well it is a bit generic, and the single player campaign can be finished over a weekend by most average players; But hey, so what! At the price point of a fast food meal combo, it's hard to go wrong here.

Bodycount

With Bodycount , Codemasters pledged that it wants to "put the fun back into the FPS." It's a sentiment that's been associated with the game for a while: a balls-out shooter that maximises the developer's destructive skill - as showcased in Black on the original Xbox - and throws in some Bulletstorm...

This game is a brand new level of racism. I've played it for a few hours now, and I killed hundreds of black people. Also they are the dumbest enemies in video game history, making the Goombas from Super Mario Brothers looking like geniuses.
