expected better results

You must use coarse ground coffee even so,there is too much sediment. After 5 minuets brewing the coffee is weaker than using the same amount ground fine with a paper filter coffee maker. Hard to clean if you don't want to throw the grounds into your septic system.

HARD TO CLEAN; Too Much Sediment; Weak coffee

Sold on the French Press!

I love the Bodum French Press. The Brazil model is great. It makes great coffee with no paper filters to keep on hand. The 8 cup model holds 32 ounces of water which is 8 cups at 4 ounces each. For the typical American that is 4 cups of 8 ounces of coffee.

Simply the Best Quality French Press for the Price

For the 10-15 pound price-range, this is probably the best quality French Press available. I've used mine twice a day for 8 months and it works perfectly well, just as good as a more expensive one I had back in the States.

Good design and strong

This coffee press is very easy to clean. Often, coffee granules stick to the press making cleaning messy. This one, however, is easy to clean and has a strong jug.
