If you were going to design a pair of headphones that would please everyone, it's safe to say they wouldn't look much like the Blue Lola. You'd want something portable, something that could cancel outside noise, and you'd want it wrapped up with a bland, inoffensive design.

The Blue Microphone Lola's are another outstanding set of headphones that are available at, what is becoming, the rapidly crowded entry level of the serious headphone market. They reward the listener with a refreshingly neutral and fatigue free sound.

Very Good

Very good for what is. It is high impedance with 42 ohms so not the most suitable for iphone, as it is it doesn't have a lighting connection but works wonders for Imac or macbook pro that still have the headphone port.

Stylish and comfortable

These headphones are really comfortable,comfortable enough to wear for long periods. They have cushioned ears and cushioning at the top for extra comfort. I like that the size can be adjusted. The sound quality is really good.

Blue Microphones Lola Over-the-Ear Headphones Reviewed

I reviewed Blue Microphones ' first entry into the headphone market, the $349 Mo-Fi, in November 2014. Since then the Mo-Fi has continued to garner favorable press, but there were several areas where I felt the Mo-Fi could have been improved.

Blue Lola headphones review

The Blue Lola headphones are easy to recommend for anyone looking for a great quality pair of wired headphones at a mid-range price. They sound great, they look distinctive, and they come with all the accessories you need to use on-the-go. They're not perfect though. They look distinctive, but they can be quite tight on the head, which can result in a lack of comfort during long listening or hot weather. The in-line remote also only fully works on iOS devices, and the microphone quality left a lot to be desired. We'd also have liked a longer cable for use at home, but thankfully these are cheap to buy separately. If you travel a lot, we'd recommend spending a bit more on a pair of wireless headphones with active noise cancellation, but if all you want is a great-sounding pair of wired headphones at a reasonable price, the Blue Lola headphones won't let you down. Distinctive styling ; Well-rounded audio performance; Sturdy enough to be knocked around;

Big and heavy; In-line remote is iOS only; Microphone issues;

Blue Lola Review

When Blue, a company known for modern takes on retro microphones, released its first pair of headphones last year—the Blue Mo-Fi )—it raised a few eyebrows. The Mo-Fi are unlike any other headphones on the market, with a steampunk-inspired design, hinges where you wouldn't expect them, and a built-in amplifier for powerful, sculpted sound. With the $249.99 Lola, Blue is offering a relatively streamlined take on the Mo-Fi for $100 less. The headband here is (ever-so-slightly) redesigned, and there's no internal amp. The Lola sounds almost much exactly like the Mo-Fi in passive mode, which is a good thing. Good enough, in fact, to earn our Editor's Choice award, just like its predecessor. DesignYou would be forgiven for taking one look at the Lola—which is available in black or white—and thinking it is the Mo-Fi. The headphones differ only slightly on the visual front. The Mo-Fi has a knob you can turn to adjust the tension of the headband. It's an interesting touch, but one the Bl...

The Blue Lola headphones offer excellent audio performance and a supremely secure fit wrapped up in a unique design.

Excellent audio performance with plenty of bass depth and solid articulation throughout the frequency range; Unique, comfortable, secure-fitting design; Ships with two removable cables, one with inline remote and mic

Very bulky; Headphones can feel heavy over long listening periods; Not ideal for on-the-go listening
