Blue Dragon

Is Blue Dragon finally enough to give Microsoft's Xbox 360 an answer to Final Fantasy The short answer is a resounding "no". While Blue Dragon is by no means a bad game, it fails to reach any reasonable expectations; the pacing and story are unlikely to grab newer audiences the way more adored RPGs...

Blue Dragon was one of the few anticipated JRPG's to come out on the Xbox 360 last year, and the reason was simple: It was developed by the creator of Final Fantasy, Hironobu Sakaguchi.

Blue Dragon

If there is one thing that the Xbox 360 seems to be missing in its library of games, it is a selection of RPGs. But things seem to be a changin' down in Redmond as Microsoft Studios has committed to bring RPG gamers some choice in this genre.

Xbox 360 Review - 'Blue Dragon'

From Hironobu Sakaguchi, original creator of the "FINAL FANTASY" series, is an epic role-playing game (RPG) featuring the original artwork of Akira Toriyama, creator of the "Dragonball" series of manga and anime.

Blue Dragon

Name: Blue Dragon Genre: RPG Platform: Xbox 360 So before I get the inevitable "omg this game came out two months ago" comments, I'm well aware that this title is not a new release. However, when you play as many RPGs as I do, you sometimes get a little behind.

Great RPG! good fun if you are looking for a traditional japanese RPG then this is one to get. Main problems are the Voice acting especially english dub! Character maruaruo the most annoying character in a game! other than that a good long lengthy RPG with tons of stuff to do

The team that brought you Chrono Trigger reunites for another anime themed RPG.

Three discs provide a lengthy game; battle system is simple and straightforward; virtually all objects can be explored for treasure; implementation of shadows is a neat concept; no random battles; skippable cut scenes to keep things from getting monotonous

Graphics may be a little too cute for the game's intended audience; navigational tools are flawed; save points are sporadic; monotone voice announces your every move; Leveling grinding is still a necessary evil; unoriginal storyline

Great game, but rather easy

Well worth the money, even if you have to put up with its rather simplistic storyline, and Marumaro's annoying voice. The game is certainly the way to paving the Xbox 360's mark into Japan. As for the rest of the world, Im not sure if everyone else has the same taste for RPGs as I do.

The names Hironobu Sakaghchi, Akira Toriyama and Nobuo Uematsu can tell a lot of experienced RPG players what they are going to be going through; You can tell their hands were involved in this game

As an experienced RPG, I am rather critical at how easy the game is compared to the many others I have played; I expected this game to be harder

Blue Dragon

Blue Dragon is an important release at this stage of the 360's life cycle. Sure, the console is enjoying its dominance in most parts of the world, but in Japan its sales can only be described as modest at best.

Blue Dragon

With its generic characters, story and gameplay one could argue that this is just an imitation of better role-playing games on the market. But when you're the only Japanese RPG on the console then you're a little less choosey.
