Like all things German, the Beyerdynamic T1 headphones, now in second iteration, are built to last… sound-wise, it's a matter of how you like your sonic seasoning.

The new T1 now evens out the sonic inconsistencies of its predecessor; Where v1 did some things well and others not, the new kid does a consistent job; Presentation is confident, there's an overall sense of tonal balance and nuance, accuracy is spot on with a slight hint of musicality.

As an ordinary listener and now as a classical-music reviewer for MusicWeb International I've worked my way through quite a few headphones - Beyerdynamic, AKG, Grado, Stax and Sennheiser.

They are so good that I bought five of these for all my toilets. Now I really enjoy going to the potty and listening to music while I do my business. Even the smell is a lot more tolerable after I put on the headphones. After all, for that cost, they have to be life changing, don't they?
