I use this headphone from another since 2009 in addition to the AKG 271 closed. I also have a Shure I'm testing for 1 year.

Simply put, the best headphones I have ever used. Build quality is outstanding. Very solid, but not heavy enough to hurt your head if you wear it for extended periods of time. When used along with my Beresford DAC and AMP, the Beyerdynamic DT880 is just orgasmic to use.

Despite the option for a 32Ω set of headphones, nobody should really be considering the DT 880s-or any open backed headphones-for mobile use. However, if used in the right situation, these cans are gold-despite the silvery exterior.

I bought these headphones for my grandson who is a studying to be a sound engineer in LA. He absolutely loves them. The price I paid for them was also great.

I bought this when it was on sale (w/free shipping). Beyerdynamic was also having a May promotion for addition discount. It's a phenomenally well-built set of open-ear headphones. They sound great. They fit well and the velour-lined cups are very comfortable.

The DT880s are extremely comfortable to wear and have a lovely tonal balance, I would certainly recommend them.

I was quite disappointed with my DT880. I thought they'd make for excellent christmas present, but I was really wrong.

The Beyerdynamic DT 880 Edition in the 600 Ohm version is a great hi-fi headphone and especially suitable for lovers of classical music and acoustics. Those who like to immerse themselves in music and sound should definitely try the DT 880.
