Beyerdynamic DT 770 Headphones

3.5
Verdict: The DT 770s are another set of headphones in Beyerdynamic's MANUFAKTUR line. The MANUFAKTUR service allows users to create customized color schemes as well as fine-tune other aspects of their headphones.

Beyerdynamic DT770 review

4.5
Verdict: Closed-back headphones are rare in the serious hi-fi world. On the whole, it seems, those listening in private prefer not to be cut off from the outside world. And besides, closed-back cans have a reputation for a more 'boxed-in' sound than the open-back variety.
Pros: Bass is admirably strong
Cons: There can be traces of the midrange coloration

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 Ohm

2.0
Verdict: The 770's got re-spec'd (check the Beyerdynamic site, they are quite clear about it) so old reviews, or references to older stock in newer reviews can be misleading. The newer model seems less robust, less durable, and is definetly +8 db at 100 Hz, so the bass is fat.

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Studio

4.0
Verdict: Way back before headphones became a multi-billion dollar industry, the options available for people to buy were rather meager. You mostly had earbuds, a selection of on-ears (predominantly Sennheiser) and professional monitor headphones, and never the thrice should meet.
Pros: The Beyerdynamic DT 770 Studio is a well-built monitor headphone which sounds more open and dynamic than its closed-back construction might suggest. The headphones offer a level of comfort not offered by other professional headphones
Cons: The DT 770 Studio suffers from limited distribution and is easily confused with other similarly-named, but very different sounding, DT 770 models. The non-removable three-meter cable means the headphone is poorly suited to mobile use

Beyerdynamic DT 770 M

Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO review

4.0
Verdict: The good time girls of Beyerdynamics's range of headphones, if you're after big bass combined with a hi-fi high end, the DT 770s are a great buy
Pros: Thumping bass, great isolation, comfort
Cons: Not the most mature-sounding headphone out there

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Studio

4.5
Verdict: There's very little not to like about the classic Beyerdynamic DT 770 Studio. They stack up against the top headphones for tracking out there-with more body and depth than the less expensive, but always reliable, Sennheiser HD 280 Pro.
Pros: Excellent audio performance, with superb high frequency clarity and accuracy. Comfortable, secure fit. Very little sound leakage
Cons: Not for use with mobile devices. No removable cable. Not for those seeking highly boosted bass

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 Ohm

No reviews
Verdict: The new Beyerdynamic DT 770 M, selling for $179.00 is marketed toward drummers and Front of House mix engineers because of its extreme sound isolation. It also includes a volume control on the cable. But are these the only changes to the headphones?

Beyerdynamic DT770

3.0
Verdict: The first thing to point out here is that the DT770s are a closed-back design. This means sound doesn't escape through the outside of each earphone – so you won't annoy your neighbour on the train the way you would with a noisier, open-backed design.
Pros: Closed-back design, powerful sound, very comfortable
Cons: Rivals offer more insight, detail and overall resolution

Not "drummers headphones" only.

5.0
Verdict: People tend to misunderstand the purpose of these headphones. To clear things up, they are quite opposites to the DT770 pro, with emphasis on mids and recessed bass and treble. For drumming the strong mid transients makes them perfect for tracking as it's really easy for the drummer to hear all the...

D770, made for E kit drumming!

2.0
Verdict: I am very happy with these headphones so far! I have cleaer sound from high to low and extra bass for electric drum set bass, is NOT an issue. With other headphones I did have some trouble seinheisser and NADY were, for the model I had not enough volume or range. Nady qh360 and Seinheisser HD210.

THE drummer's headphone!

5.0
Verdict: Drummer's...you HAVE to buy these headphones! If you want to save your hearing use these headphones. They allow you to LOWER the level in the headphones due to the 35dB ambient noise reduction. Whatever you are monitoring you can listen at a VERY comfortable level and still hear your kit!
Pros: Clear Sound, Easy To Use, Powerful, Professional Functions

Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 32 ohm Limited Edition stereo headphone review by Dale

5.0
Verdict: Sources: iPhone4 alone, iPhone4 with FiiO E17 using LOD, various computers using Audioengine D1 DAC and the D1's headphone out. First impression of the Beyer DT770LE: Dark and slightly cavernous sound, and a bit crispy on the high end.

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 Ohm

4.0
Verdict: A bass lover's phone for sure. Can be fun with the right music. But the bass is of the one-note "whump" variety and that gets boring. Still, can be good with rock. I've noticed some pretty sucked out mids, though, so vocals suffer. And for a bass-head phone, the highs can get pretty brittle.
Pros: Fun Bass
Cons: Mids? What mids

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 Ohm

4.0
Verdict: I am very pleased with the quality of these headphones, they give very good insulation in both live studio and FOH work, they are very comfortable I have used them for several three hour periods during band rehearsals whilst mixing multi track takes and also for one and ahalf hour sessions for

Great Headphones with rugged durability and lots of bass.

5.0
Verdict: I bought these shortly after my Sennheiser 280 Pro's started cracking near the headband. They still work, but I'll keep them as my backup's. The Beyerdynamics include a completely different design than the more portable Sennheisers, but that's not really a bad thing.
Pros: Quality, sound, great brand name, unique style
Cons: Maybe too bassy for some, but not me
