Right out of the box the DT-150 sounded far from neutral. The mids sounded elevated. But ... the reason for this was not difficult to find. I have been continuously using the Beyerdynamic DT-770 pro 250 for the last six months or so.

Fantastic closed phones! These ugly behemoths sure do sound wonderful! Now to the meat of the review: Sound: The first impression when I put these headphones on was how balanced they sound. They do sound slightly dark, but they present the sound in a way that just sounds right.
The Beyerdynamic DT100 headphones have for a long time been the industry standard headphones in sound engineering, so the DT150s, a new improved model, have much to live up to. First off, these are not small, and they aren't particularly light either.
Excellent sound quality; loud; good background noise reduction; long cable; comfortable
Ugly; a little on the expensive side
These are, in my option, the best headphones money can buy. I work in the radio industry, and these are my cans of choice. The sound quality is, quite simply, amazing. Put these on, turn up the music and hear things you would never have heard before. It's astounding.
Reliability
These are great headphones and i would use if i had a permanent studio. For my purposes; I'm with a laptop and working whilst traveling, and these are just a little bit too bulky to be carrying around all the time. It's a shame as i really did like them. The sound was perfect.
To anybody who wishes for perfect headphones, these are it!
Excellent
