Not as good as you're lead to believe.

Poor colour reproduction. This monitor is apparently aimed at photographers who demand perfect colour reproduction, my experience was very different. The contrast of the display is far from perfect, the blacks are not ‘black', I found myself pushed Lightroom shadows and blacks far beyond what was...

BenQ 27inch

For those who have an interest in photography then a specialised ‘RGB' unit such as this offering from BenQ could well solve the problem of getting the colour correct, this unit guarantees 99% correct Adobe RGB colour space.

BenQ SW2700PT review

For a 2,560x1,440 display, the SW2700PT seems expensive, but you're paying for its colour accuracy and hardware calibration. For dedicated photo or video editors, these are features well worth paying for. And, comparing the SW2700PT to the main competition, it's actually comparatively good value.

Outstanding colour accuracy; Great calibration tools; Highly adjustable

No integrated speakers

Great monitor, prefect color and great features

I'm a film photographer, and have to use an old fuji Sp-3000 film scanner to scan my negatives to digital files. The software that runs on the scanner is limited to windows 2000 and janky fuji software, and doesn't allow for any software color profiles or management.

Cant be Calibrated

The monitor is very nice and seems to work well. However, I have a dual monitor setup on my iMac (the Benq being the second), and the Benq-provided calibration software can only be run on a single-monitor configuration.

Now we're talkin'

I've got an old Canon 60D. I thought I was taking nice pictures - I just didn't know how good they were. Especially in the black & white pics I'm taking, I get to see a huge array of grey shades. I had no idea. So many tones that I just couldn't see before I got this monitor.
