Beats Solo 2

By now, headphone enthusiasts should know the drill with Beats: If you love big, booming bass, read on, and if you want a flat-response, critical listening-appropriate headphone pair, move on past the Beats Solo 2 (maybe to the Editors' Choice Sennheiser HD 558 ).

Powerful, distortion-free audio with boosted bass and bright highs; Lightweight, comfortable fit; Inline remote control and microphone for mobile devices

Big bass sound isn't for purists or anyone seeking flat response; Slightly overpriced

When style meets sound – Beats Solo2 Review

Beats Solo2 is an elegant and nice looking headphone. Its stylish look is complemented by sound clarity and awesome soundstage. The bass is not too overwhelming, which allows you to enjoy listening to the vocal and other instruments in a song as well.

Beats Solo 2 Review

By now, headphone enthusiasts should know the drill with Beats: If you love big, booming bass, read on, and if you want a flat-response, critical listening-appropriate headphone pair, move on past the Beats Solo 2 (maybe to the Editors' Choice Sennheiser HD 558 ). The $199.95 Solo 2 is all about streamlined design that's focused on being lightweight and comfortable over long listening sessions, and with very few design flourishes. The drivers deliver seriously deep bass that balances out against heavily tweaked high frequencies. Beats headphones often feel a bit overpriced, but the Solo 2 manages to offer compelling value—even if you're still paying a bit of a premium for Dr. Dre's name and the allure of wearing the same headphones you see on celebrity athletes and musicians. DesignAvailable in glossy pink, blue, or gray along with the more traditional Beats colors of red, black, or white, the Solo 2 looks similar to other Beats headphones. The on-ear (supra-aural) fit is extreme...

Fans of booming low-end won't be disappointed by the Beats Solo 2 headphones' powerful bass and distortion-free audio performance.

Beats Solo2 Headphones: Australian Review

I've never really liked Beats headphones. I think they look gaudy, they're overpriced, and they're aimed at buyers more concerned with fashion than frequency response. For all these reasons, I'm really conflicted about the new Beats Solo2 - since they're actually pretty damn good.

Beats by Dr. Dre Solo2 Headphones

On the heels of Apple's buyout of Beats, it's unfair to expect Beats to suddenly stop production of anything that isn't Apple white. The newly designed Beats by Dr. Dre Solo2 headphone actually comes in a rainbow of colors, including, umm, white. This is a revision of the original Solo headphone.

For quite some time now, Beats has been one of the most highly visible brands in the world of consumer audio, and considering the company has recently been acquired by Apple, it isn't likely that will slow down any time soon.
