Battlefield 3

Six years have passed since Battlefield 2 was released for the PC. Today we take a look at its successor, Battlefield 3, and determine whether it has truly surpassed its predecessor.

Multiplayer will keep you playing for hours without noticing the time; Excellent Graphics; Performance quite good even on mid-range video cards; Massive maps and great interaction with vehicles; Lots of customization for weapons

Falls Short on Single Player and Co-op; Will need a 2GB+ video card for glitch free gameplay on a Surround (3 monitor) setup.

Battlefield 3: Aftermath

An earthquake has hit Tehran and the streets are a cracked, debris-ridden mess. Thankfully there are lots of dudes to shoot to make matters even messier. That's the setting for Battlefield 3 's latest downloadable content, Aftermath , and it works well.

Great map design; lots of verticality and flanking routes; satisfying crossbows; fun Scavenger mode

Disappointing vehicles; questionable longevity for Scavenger; generic Markaz Monolith

Battlefield 3: Aftermath is the third map pack released for Battlefield 3. It''s also one of the best. The maps are based around the earthquake scene in the campaign (which was abysmal), and it pulls of the atmosphere in a fun, creative way. The two best maps here are Epicenter and Markaz Monolith.

Review: Battlefield 3

Battlefield 3 will without a doubt currently be oscar mike to the top of the charts, but is it worthy of the promotion or deserving of a discharge? Battlefield 3 comes in three main flavours, single player, co-operative multiplayer and competitive multiplayer.

Battlefield 3 Review

Battlefield 3 had a lot a live up to. Not only was it following the footsteps of the wildly successful Battlefield 2, the game that showed us that modern warfare could work, but the constant slew of marketing campaigns; along with the never ending battle between that OTHER franchise has built a hype...

Battlefield 3 Review (PC)

So this is a big one.  EA's fastest-selling game ever. A lot of hype in the lead-up to the launch, too.  You know how that goes. The launch, of course, was a disaster.  Activation problems, connection problems, lag problems, major stability issues, patchy performance…  Battlefield veterans expected...

Battlefield 3 – The Verdict

"Fuck you Cole!" The moment I said those words was the moment I realised that I was actually involved in the campaign mode of Battlefield 3. I hadn't been expecting to enjoy the singleplayer story mode at all, in fact the opening levels had nearly managed to stop me from completing it.
