Audioengine A2+

This is the perfect speaker size for my desktop pc. These are by far the best pc speakers I ever owned. With the speakers turned all the way up, and the PC sound turned all the way down to level 2, there still pretty loud. If you hook these up by USB, sound and clarity is amazing.

Great Speakers

These are great powered speakers that fill the room. They are strong clear and fit almost anywhere. I finally dumped my old sony amp, DVD and pioneer speakers in exchange for a MacMini and a set of the powered speakers. I don't need anything else.

Great sound; small size; powerful; dual inputs

Just the right balance of size and fidelity for your desk.

As long as you know what you're getting, these fit the bill perfectly. These aren't ghetto blasters. These aren't studio monitors. They're excellent desktop (computer) speakers. In an office at work, with others beyond the thin walls, my 2.1 system was impossible.

i have the latest version. First impressions were of a bit dull and congested sound. A few months later, I have done a 180. The sound has become outstanding, it just takes a good while t get there. Rich, warm, full, reasonably strong and clean at higher volumes.

Big sound, small profile!

The reviews don't lie. If you're looking for a pair of desktop speakers that provide superb sound qualities in a small package, don't look any further. These speakers provide clear and warm sound reproduction that rivals, if not beat, many speakers that have significantly larger drivers.

big sound, little package

The sound signature of these speakers are almost the same as their big brother's - warm, with a hump of emphasis on the midbass, and very smooth highs that is hard to fatigue from.

Attractive Design; Easy Setup; Easy to Mount; Good Power Output; Great Sound Quality

Top notch PC Mac or Notebook speakers

For the price, I cannot think of any other computer speakers on the market I would recommend to a friend that would provide this level of sound and construction quality.

Impressive sound quality and bass for such a small package Great value

Hi guys, Now I am not a speaker guy by any means and mostly have crappy stock speakers around here (although I just upgraded my surround speakers for my NAD T747 to some Harmon Kardon 30BQ's) and this will be my first attempt at reviewing speakers.

Incredibly neutral sound with excellent clarity and imaging

None at all from what I've heard thus far

Rate it all!

Great sound, impossibly good bass from such small units.

Audioengine A2

If the only prerequisite for desktop speakers were size, then the Audioengine A2s could confidently look forward to retaining their 2008 What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision Award as Best Budget Desktop Speakers. Measuring just 15 x 10 x 13cm, they're almost frivolously small.

Compact; nicely finished; fearsomely dynamic and attacking given their size

Some midrange coarseness; an expected lack of scale
