This mic is a "secret weapon" among a rare select few recording engineers. To find one today is like hitting the Mother Lode! So, it's a great mic, PERIOD! You can experiment as to where you'd use it; or I could just tell you that this is THE dynamic tom mic.

Dynamic hypercardiode OVERALL OPINION I use it for music on a brsilienne surdo (percussion that goes down low in the rev frquences) I try a lot of bass drum mics (Shure AKG ect) and it is the only one with which are low round without too much flapping

I'm very happy with the sound i got with this mic on toms.

Really great on the Toms for a tight low end and mid response
