Audio-Technica ATH-MSR7NC

4.0
Verdict: The Audio-Technica ATH-MSR7NC are noise-cancelling headphones, the airplane-ready version of the classic MSR7 pair we reviewed last year. This new version keeps the same sound quality, but the noise-cancellation quality isn't going to challenge the Bose QuietComfort 25 or the Sony MDR-100ABN I...
Pros: Great-quality, clear sound, Comfortable, Good battery life
Cons: ANC not as effective as the best, Slight granularity to the mids

Audio-Technica ATH-MSR7NC Review: Noise-Cancelled, Hi-Res Audio Bliss

No reviews
Verdict: If you want a pair of noise cancelling headphones, your choice is much more restricted than the hundreds of quality headphones already out there. If you want noise cancelling headphones that sound great , well, that's even harder.

5.0
Verdict: Last year, we reviewed Audio-Technica's original ATH-MSR7 and found it to be an excellent value for the money - it was our pick for best wired headphone of 2015 - even if the headphone might have a bit too much treble energy for some users.…

Audio-Technica ATH-MSR7NC headphones review: Make some noise

5.0
Verdict: It was 18-months ago that we reviewed the excellent Audio-Technica MSR7 over-ear headphones - and might impressed we were. Now it's the turn of the MSR7NC which, as those additional two letters in the name denote, are the noise-cancelling version.
Pros: Excellent natural audio yet enough kick in all frequencies where needed, comfortable to wear for long periods, fairly priced, 30-hour on-board battery, subtle noise-cancelling works well for travel and largely avoids wind "tear
Cons: Not the best-in-class noise-cancelling ability in terms of dramatism, no Bluetooth wireless, simplified mono design compared to originals - some colour accent options would be good

Audio Technica ATH-MSR7NC

Verdict: Here at MajorHifi, we're a little hesitant to jump on the hype train every time a new headphone starts making the rounds. So it was with reluctance that we pounced on the new MSR7NC – probably because the original MSR7 sounded , and we figure this one is going to be even better.

Verdict: . The ample ear cups pivot sideways to fit into the tote sack and pack flat for travel. The on/off switch for noise cancellation is conveniently placed at the five o'clock position on the left ear cup.

Audio Technica ATH-MSR7NC

4.0
Verdict: Around my desk, two fans whirr constantly, an air-conditioning unit thrums overhead, and yet I can hardly hear a thing. The chatter of a busy office is distant, and all that's disturbing me is the empty screen in front of me where a review should be.

Fantastic headphones

5.0
Verdict: These headphones have outstanding resolution, balanced tonal response, and excellent dynamics. Bass response is very tight and deep without being heavy handed. Like any good headphone, poorly ripped MP3s, mediocre electronics (DAC and amp) will all hold these puppies back, so it's important to make...
Pros: Outstanding clarity, tonal balance and dynamics. Comfortable. Good NC within their stated limitations
Cons: NC only operates below 300 Hz

Crisp sound

5.0
Verdict: Gives really good and crisp sound, especially for the price. Does not need amp, - works well with normal computer / phone audio. Is not as boomy as Beats or other popular brands, but provides exceptional resolution and crispness so you can hear elements you never knew are there ...

Verdict: This is just a veru good pair of headphones. It fits comfortably over my ears, build quality is great and the sound is amazing. I had to switch my entire Spotify library to extreme quality, because one can hear the difference.
