That's way too expensive for ear muffs. Rather buy a new product :(

Great pair of headphones
These phones reveal audio that I didn't think my ears could sense. Audio-wise, they are fantastic. After over an hour in 80 degrees, my ears still didn't sweat somehow. Despite the flexibility, they feel real solid. There is not enough padding for the head though.

Audio-Technica ATH-M50
Let's get something out of the way from the get-go. The Audio-Technica ATH-M50 Professional Studio Monitor Headphones are a great pair of headphones for the money -- and great headphones period. What makes them great?
Pros:
- The Audio-Technica ATH-M50 Professional Studio Monitor Headphones offer excellent build quality and very detailed
- balanced sound with tight bass.
Cons:
- There's no integrated microphone for making cell phone calls
- the bulkier design makes them less suitable for mobile use
- and the headphone cord isn't detachable

I bought these for college to use in my dorm room and studio, and for this they are perfect. They block out ambient noise, but if, say, a fire alarm goes off, you will hear it. They are very portable, at least for full-size headphones, and fit neatly in my backpack with all my other stuff; and...

Great headphones with excellent bass and high frequency response
After making a lot of research about headphones, I narrowed my purchase choice to this one... and I do not regret. First off all, it sounds *much* better than many of its competitors in this price class.
Pros:
- Solid construction and produces a more "natural" sound
Cons:
- None

Probably my most affordable hi-fi purchases. Very good sound over all registers. At first I was a little surprised that the base was thin, but it's there when the music delivers bass! If you go from cheaper bass-heavy lurking takes a while to get used to the kvalitetsbas as ATH-M50 delivers.

Audio-Technica ATH-M50S Headphone Review
Overall, the Audio-Technica M50s headphones represent a very good value for what they offer - an accurate, if lively, presentation of music. Uncompromising in their musical reproduction, don't expect that basement recorded podcast to sound good on them but your uncompressed music will come through...
Pros:
- Good isolation
- Linear bass response
Cons:
- Tight fit

"Great for casual listening/dj'ing, decent for mixing"
These are excellent all around cans, if you can only get one pair for casual listening and mixing in a project studio, these should be considered. They are not very well suited for tracking, because the isolation is surprisingly bad considering how snug they form to your head and ears.
