Asus Xonar U5 5.1 USB Sound Card and Headphone Amplifier

Just when I got comfy with my PC at home that I have to be away from it for a few days when visiting over the long holidays. Using my family's PC was okay but the thought of the inferior audio quality coming out from it when using my headphones is just too much.

It's easy to setup, but it's not a great product

I would not recommend this product, and given the fact that it died so soon, I can't recommend any ASUS products

Makes it easy to locate my speakers away from my desktop

Nothing but snow from front channels - I've only had it for 6 weeks

Too quiet all around, terrible for "driving" headphones.

It's nice on paper, but in practice, this thing just doesn't seem to cut it. The headphone outoput at it's highest impedence setting on my 80ohm DT770s does not allow the headphones to get loud at all, and I'm really not the type of person to listen to anything "really" loud, so just imagine...

ASUS Xonar U5 5.1 USB Sound Card

This unit has verygood sound quality but is really designed for gamers not hifi enthusiasts

The software doesn't seem to work with Windows 10; There arent if enough control settings built into the software to configure the pc to work correctly with the device; Cant configure headphone socket or speaker output from device

Very satisfied with digitizing LPs

When my previous audio interface (Griffin iMic) broke I sought a replacement that I could trust to have quality electronics, 24-bit stereo audio, low latency, and musicality. I went for an interface designed for musicians because they need reliability and ruggedness as well as audio quality.
