When buying a monitor online I always worry that it will have dead pixels or that it just won't look good in general. This came with no dead pixels and it looks great. I bought a VESA mount that clamps onto the back of my desk for it because the stand it comes with takes up a HUGE amount of desk...

Asus ROG STRIX XG27VQ review

The Asus ROG STRIX XG27VQ treads a fine line between showmanship and useful functionality. The beautiful styling and head-turning details would be merely a veneer, if Asus hadn't got a very impressive display to mount inside this beast.

Asus ROG STRIX XG27VQ review

For the serious PC gamer, an ordinary monitor just won't cut it. The high frame rates that modern GPUs can generate tend to cause screen tearing at standard refresh rates, impacting on the fluidity of fast-paced action.

There are a lot of great monitors on the market and the Asus ROG Strix XG27VQ is one such example. Gamers looking for a well-featured yet not-too-expensive monitor should keep this one on their radar, as it ticks a lot of boxes for an entry-level high-refresh experience. What boxes in particular?

144Hz refresh rate, FreeSync support, ELMB, VA panel; Respectable color performance that’s easily calibratable; Accessible on-screen controls

RGB lighting makes no sense; ‘Gamer’ design isn’t for everyone

Display technology has improved exponentially and along with that comes different panel types to choose from. The most popular ones are IPS and TN panels, but hidden in the back alleys of the of the display world is the VA (Vertical Alignment) panel.

Great performance; VA panel; Curved monitor

Asus ROG Strix XG27VQ Review: Curved Gaming Goodness

Despite weird design choices, the ROG Strix XG27VQ does deliver on its promise of maximum performance. With fast response times, aggressive 1800R curvature, 1400Hz refresh rate as well as color-accurate VA panel plus FreeSync tech, the ROG Strix XG27VQ should definitely be on your watchlist if...

Asus ROG Strix XG27VQ Curved Gaming Monitor Review

The Asus ROG Strix XG27V is a solid budget gaming monitor which most marks that a gamer needs.

Good set of features; ELMB works well; Fantastic viewing angles; Fast response times

1080p not the best resolution for 27inch screen; Not the best colour accuracy; Pointless RGB

ASUS ROG Strix XG27VQ 27" Curved Full HD Gaming Monitor , 144hz , 1800R , 4Ms , HDMI+DVI+ Display port,

It has good colors and the image is sharp but 4ms it's quite long time for a gaming monitor and it is a fullhd, not 2k/4k monitor. You can overdrive it response up to 1ms but there will be visible artefacts.
