ASUS WL-330NUL or NIC and Router All in One

Apart from the full-sized stationary network equipment, ASUS also produces portable router models. More than a year ago we had a publication about one of such portable devices- WL-330N3G . Today our laboratory hosts a new smaller-than-ever router by ASUS, WL-330NUL.

Tiny size; Support of several operation modes i.e as a router; hot-spot; wireless and wired network card; Ability to manage guest access via Wi-Fi; Decent data access speeds; Ability to store wireless profiles in the device memory; The drivers are located in the built-in flash-card; Ability to get...

Absence of NAT upon connecting USB-Ethernet; Inability to manage virtual servers; The drivers are only compatible with Windows; A hidden page that is not protected by a password

Review: ASUS WL-330NUL – A Swiss Army Knife of USB, Wi-Fi and Ethernet Awesome

You've probably heard of travel routers before… Heck, you probably own one or two. They're cheap, little Wi-Fi routers that can be powered by USB and fit into your pocket. And, they're pretty versatile, they can convert Ethernet to Wi-Fi, they can bypass less/insecure/open Wi-Fi at a hotel and tap...

It wasn't too long back when I bought the Apple Airport Express and was amazed by the size and portability. I've seen routers get smaller and more portable which is just a natural progression of technology but then the ASUS WP-330NUL landed in our office and I was left as amazed as the Airport...

Awesome product nonetheless

I bought this to increase the stability of my dorm's wifi. Although it has it's lows and sometimes disconnects, it allows me to have a second option of wifi. I think the only problem is the low quality of the internet I'm using to establish the connection. Awesome product nonetheless.

Won't work on Apple G5 PPC

I bought this because the spec's said it would work with OSX. What they failed to tell you is that it only worked on an Intel processor Apple. I have worked with Asus to get a version of the app coded for G5 PPC but no luck with that yet.

So far so good - Windows 10 users update the firmware first, it's simple and painless!

So far so good. I as able to set it up by connecting to using the built in WiFi - BUT be careful whether it's an 8 or 6! The only issue I found was that Windows 10 didn't detect it to install as a USB to LAN Ethernet adapter.

Excellent product. Highly recommended, especially for travellers.

I am working in another city on a long term basis. The apartment provides CAT5 internet outlet but not wifi. I have done some research online and found the solution. This tiny Asus router is the perfect solution for my situation. The wifi is very stable and fast.

Asus WL-330NUL travel router: The world's tiniest, temporarily insecure router

The Asus WL-330NUL is even tinier than TP-Link's diminutive TL-MR3040. In fact, it's smaller than some USB thumb drives I've used. Its size and weight will tempt anyone who insists on traveling light. My advice: Resist that temptation. The WL-330NUL is a very simple device.

Really quite bad

I am on win 8.1 64 bit and this thing really doesn't work. It's unreliable at best and currently will not work at all.
