Asus Transformer Pad TF300
Though it isn't as thin or as sturdy, the Asus Transformer Pad TF300 delivers Prime levels of performance at a more affordable price.
Pros:
- The Asus Transformer Pad TF300's Tegra 3-induced performance more or less matches the Transformer Prime's and goes a step further with a better rear camera
- faster Wi-Fi performance
- a more responsive screen
- and an actual (and official) GPS feature.
Cons:
- The tablet's design isn't as thin, sturdy, or sexy as the Transformer Prime's and feels a bit hollow in comparison
- The $150 keyboard dock is still $150.

Asus Transformer Pad 300
Build quality quality could be better, but at £399 the Asus Transformer Pad 300 offers great value for money, tremendous performance, the ability to download apps, and all the features one would expect of a tablet, with extra laptop functionality.

Build quality quality could be better, but at £399 the Asus Transformer Pad 300 offers great value for money, tremendous performance, the ability to download apps, and all the features one would expect of a tablet, with extra laptop functionality.
Pros:
- The Nvidia Tegra 3 processor works nicely to power the Asus Transformer Pad 300 to pleasing levels of performance throughout
- It delivers smooth operation, an excellent battery life of just under 10 hours, and more when used with the supplied keyboard dock.
Cons:
- The Asus Transformer Pad 300 may be cheap in comparison to some of the most advanced tablet computers but with the lower costs comes a sacrifice to build quality
- Its outer plastic panel feels cheap, and doesn't inspire much confidence, should you be wary of accidentally dropping it onto a hard...

Best Android Tablet under $400
The 300T is without a doubt the best tablet for the money. For under 400 bucks you're getting 32 GB of on-board storage (expandable to 64 with a 32 GB micro-sd), a quad-core processor, the latest version of Android (4.0) and a better camera than other manufacturers' offerings in this price range.

Pathetic Service
No doubt the price is attractive and is one of the best value tablet in the market, after sales service is pathetic. First quality testing before shipping the products into the market is really poor. Whichever Asus product I bought had some defect in it.

I have begun to HATE this thing; tablets are primarily media consumption devices. Google and ASUS are among the biggest players in this market, so I should not have to 'hack' install software in order to play Youtube content (esp since Google owns YT).
Pros:
- Long battery life
- never any issues with connectivity
- very tough
Cons:
- Flashplayer issues since fall 2012
- laggy at times, bundled browser crash prone
- Entering data into web applications is 'iffy' due to random cursor behaviour

I got the Tf300 for my birthday and it worked perfectly for the first 3 weeks, but after that it slowed right down, even on "performance mode" and with nothing running in the background. I did a factory reset and it still runs slow. I actually returned it and got an iPad.
Pros:
- sturdy
- loud speaker
- good screen
Cons:
- extremely slow performance

Would not recommend
I own the Asus Transformer 32 gb TF 300 T- B1 and can't wait to get rid of it and replace with a tablet that works. It constantly reboots itself over and over. I tried tech support at Asus on several occasions and the only solution offered was to reset it.
Cons:
- Contantly Reboots Itself
- Unreliable
