Asus Transformer Pad 300 review

If the Asus Transformer Prime turned your head but hurt your wallet then you'll love the Asus Transformer Pad 300 (or Asus Transformer Pad TF300T, to give it its full title). This Tegra 3 tablet has all the power of its older brother, but comes in at roughly the same price is the new iPad 3 ,...
Pros:
  • Fantastic price with keyboard
  • Top Tegra 3 performance
  • Great usability and docking
Cons:
  • Flimsy
  • bouncy keyboard
  • Plasticky build
  • Average screen

I like this tablet. It's not perfect. However, sometimes it is really laggy just even navigating through the app drawer. Hopefully, future updates will change that. I wish that it felt a little more durable. There is some flex when you push on the back.

Still working after 2 years.

I bought this tablet over 2 years ago and its been brilliant. It got stuck in a boot loop once and had to do a factory reset but otherwise it's done what I needed. Love the battery life!

Awaiting an RMA

I will update this review when I get the replacement. It's hard to believe this tablet left the factory in complete working order and arrived to me, completely dead and not charging at all. I really hope the replacement will not give any problems.
Pros:
  • None so far about the product
  • Newegg has been great though
Cons:
  • Product arrived completely dead
  • Tablet would not boot at all, none of the lights even came on
  • Besides that, the tablet also would not charge, or give any indication that it was plugged into an outlet
  • Currently awaiting an RMA replacement
