Asus Transformer Pad TF300

The new Asus Transformer Pad gives you 95 per cent of the Transformer Prime experience for 80 per cent of the price - with the added bonus of reliable GPS. What you lose is negligible; what you gain - £100 - is not to be sneezed at. Our new best Android tablet? Oh yes.

Asus Transformer Pad TF300

a lot. Still, £500 is a lot for a tablet even if it does go like the clappers, is made of aluminium and has a cracking keyboard dock with a built-in extra battery.

ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T review

A keyboard-equipped tablet naturally draws comparisons to the device it most closely emulates: the laptop. However any thought that perhaps the TF300T could replace your primary PC should remain in fantasy - Android isn't yet a replacement for a traditional desktop OS.
Pros:
  • Converts to a netbook
Cons:
  • Won't quite replace your laptop

Asus Transformer Pad TF300T

Asus blew our minds with the original Transformer. A tablet with a keyboard, we muttered, surely that's just a laptop running Android? But no, in fact it was a very clever idea: build a terrific tablet, that's both stylish and powerful, then offer a keyboard dock that acts as a stand, and charges...
Pros:
  • Great screen
  • keyboard is a nice addition
  • Asus cloud storage is useful
  • powerful processor
  • amazing video and gaming performance
  • design is superb
Cons:
  • Could be considered heavy when keyboard is attached
  • battery life could be even better

Asus Transformer Pad TF300 review (UK model)

The Asus Transformer Pad is a terrifically versatile and capable quad-core tablet with the added benefit of a keyboard docking station that effectively turns it into a laptop. It's a little thicker than its big brother the Prime, with a slightly inferior screen, but overall, it's a high-performing...
Pros:
  • Detachable keyboard docking station
  • fast quad-core processor
  • 8 megapixel camera
Cons:
  • Odd balance when docked
  • not the thinnest of tablets

Well, what can I say, I'm well a little bit in love :-) type. A quick and neat little thing. I was about to buy Prime, but actually found the aluminum on the back was stylish but cold and a little hard to hold, but this model has the plastic on the back and is very comfortable to hold, grip feels...

Asus Transformer Pad (TF300T) review

The Asus Transformer Prime has been the standard-setting Android tablet ever since it came out last year. It's well-made and beautifully designed, has a screaming fast Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, and after an update it runs Android 4.0, a much-improved version of the operating system.
Pros:
  • Fast
  • reliable performance
  • Tegra 3-optimized games are fantastic
  • Great build quality
  • Excellent battery life
Cons:
  • Android 4.0 still has some issues
  • Keyboard dock is a little cramped
  • Display isn't anything special
