ASUS ROG Crosshair VII HERO (Wifi) review

It is without any doubt that the Hero is one of the more popular series motherboards for the X470 platform. Features and perf wise, it's all a bit of the same though, so brand preference will be a thing with your purchasing preferences. The C7H Hero offers all the connectivity and features you need.

Great board

This board is great. Coming form an intel build, almkst 4 years ago this one was as easy. No problems so far. Runs my Ryzen X2700 with 32GB of memory like a champ. Another great board from Asus. Have been using Asus mobos for 15 years.

Very easy to screw up and prevent it going into bios

Works ok but has some quirks. Very easy to screw up and prevent it going into bios. Can take several atempts to get it into bios. Bios should be bomb proof due to the cost and use factor of this motherboard which it clearly is not.

ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR VII HERO(WIFI) ATX For AMD Ryzen Socket AM4. AMD X470 Chipset, 4X DDR4-3600, M.2 SATA3,USB 3.1 Gen2 Optical S/PDIF out, WiFi & BT4.2, SLI & Crosfire supported

Good successor to the CH6. With better memory support and unlocking the Zen+ full potential. Lovely board, just like the Hero 6. Can't fault it.

More Power Than You'll Ever Need

This mobo is a beast. Not only is it sexy, but it's got mulitple M.2 slots, takes up to 64gb of ram, but the vrams on this is overkill to the max. It also has LN2 options on this mobo if you're looking to break records. And it's Asus ROG, and it's their top tier mobo for AMD 4 atm.

Asus ROG Crosshair VII Hero (Wi-Fi) Review

The Asus Crosshair VII Hero is the priciest board in this group, and it justifies the cost with superb design and plenty of features. Performance-wise, there are only slight gains to be had over rivals in benchmarking, so only shell out if you insist on having the best performance – and if you'll be...

Impressive and consistent performance; Solid enthusiast features; Impressive connectivity throughout

More expensive than rivals; Not always faster in gaming tests; Not many on-board RGB LEDs

Purchased this motherboard for a new build. During the process of setting things up initially any action that involved the bios would result in an error code being thrown and several hours of frustration.
