Assassin's Creed Revelations (Xbox 360) Review

The current popularity of the Assassin's Creed franchise stands as one of the biggest success stories of this current console generation; what originally began as a conceptually promising but critically panned title soon rose to both quality and popularity with its subsequent sequels and spin-offs.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations – Review

Simple really, Ezio, who is now a little more advanced in age, uses some very clever gameplay dynamic to follow in he the footsteps of the erstwhile founder of the Assassin's Order in order to solve an ancient mystery.

When it comes to Assassin's Creed , I haven't played any game in the series since the first one, and that was because I was disillusioned with the fact that it kept jumping back to the present day which drove me up the wall as it was very jarring.

'Assassin's Creed Revelations' review

marks the final game in Ubisoft's successful franchise to be set in the Renaissance era, and the final chapter in the story of Desmond Miles and his past assassin relatives, Ezio and Altaïr.

Nose First into the Dirt

Spawning, losing my contract, and getting stabbed in the face within the span of about ten seconds. Doesn't this sound familiar?

The moment I decided never to touch the Desmond missions again

Losing a race to someone who isn't actually going through the checkpoints

Assassin's Creed Revelations – The Verdict

Assassin's Creed Revelations is precisely the kind of product that makes you question if it's worth reviewing game sequels. Even though the asking price troubles the comparison, intentionally missing out on playing Revelations would be like missing out on the latest episode of a TV drama – you're...

Assassin's Creed: Revelations

Away from the campaign, the multiplayer has been vastly improved. As well as new locations and characters there are story-orientated quests that serve to feed those hooked on Assassin's Creed lore, and some new game modes, including Capture The Flag.

I won't spoil the story for you, but if you've enjoyed the narrative up to this point, you'll get wrapped up in the plot all over again here. And if you don't care for the story the platforming and combat is as satisfying as it has ever been.

Small changes that keep things fresh

Largely an iterative experience; if that bothers you

Assassins Creed Revelations

There's a great deal you can say about games like Assassin's Creed. After only a few hours of playing the player realizes that an incredible amount of hard work went into designing and bringing the highly detailed environments and characters to life.

Stranglely enough this is as fun as ever; plenty to do in the streets of Constantinople; we enjoyed the PoP-style missions; a few cool new elements; the game finally brings a satisfying conclusion to the tales of assassins Ezio and Altar

The formula may be a bit overused at this point; the series needs a change of pace

Assassin's Creed: Revelations Review

When it comes to the crunch, what worked before works here, while what's new does seem to leave a lot to be desired. It's clear that we're headed towards Assassin's Creed 3, but after three consecutive years of titles, maybe what's really needed is a year or two away from the Animus in order to...
