Keeping The Faith By Questioning It

Though Assassin's Creed has experimented with tower defense, grappling hooks, and naval combat over the years, it isn't always quick to evolve. Changes to mission design, combat, and exploration are staggered across separate entries, which dulls the impact of any one change.

After 2 long years of waiting, we finally have a new Assassin's Creed title. After the shambles that was Unity and the saving grace of Syndicate, Ubisoft decided to take a year off from AC and concentrate on the better-than-the-first-but-still-underwhelming Watch Dogs 2.

Assassin's Creed taking a year off and coming back with the Egyptian setting in Origins is like your Mum going to a spa retreat in Egypt. She's going to get a mani-pedi, get a volcanic mud face mask with a couple of those thin slices of cucumber over her eyes, and she's going to come back refreshed,...

Good game

The game is fun, but after you beat the story's and are max level there isn't anything to do because the NPC's don't level with you. And during conversations in-game the music I said so loud you can't hear anything anyone is saying. But other than that it's pretty fun.

Better than you'd think

Top notch game. Totally different approach to the (getting) stale series... the black flag team have pulled a blinder. Visuals are amazing even in original xbox one. Has to be seen to be believed

Stunning to look at. Awesome to play. Shame about the ending

This game looks stunning. Syndicate blew me away with its amazingly lifelike depiction of London and Origibs does not disappoint in terms of its presentation of ancient Egypt. The world is huge and the characters can climb up 90% of the buildings and scenery.

She had asked for a specific game for christmas but when I was looking I saw this one and it looked like something she would enjoy. I took a chance and got both. She has played this one non-stop since and has not even loaded the original one she asked for yet. This is a gorgeous game.

Game Review: Assassin's Creed Origins

Releasing on a year-on-year basis and despite having some launch issues with later games, the Assassin's Creed series was always pretty much well received overall. However, with its last proper release, Assassin's Creed: Syndicate (2015), Ubisoft decided that the series was to take a break (at least...

Huge open world full of meaningful activities; Gripping story and characters that have you invested; One of the most visually impressive games out there; Rewarding levelling up and crafting system

Can lack combat challenge at times (but you can now change the difficulty

An average game from an average studio.

Average at best, although graphically its amazing but actual gameplay Its Ubisoft so don't be surprised. Ended up selling it 2 or 3 weeks after purchasing.
