Great game in the series in which this is the 3rd games in the title. Nice update from the PS2 games. You really don't have to have much knowledge from the previous game to play.

One of the best JRPGs on the PS3. Cutscenes are in the traditional way (text box and sometimes voice acting). It has a variety of endings that depends on your choices. Graphics are simple, but the illustrations are very well made in anime style.

A Japanese game, which definitely recommend, now that is at a discounted price with more reason, has a sublime music, and is exclusive to ps3..

"Ar Tonelico Qoga - A decent RPG but you'll feel dirty afterwards"

Ar Tonelico Qoga is the third game in Gust's Ar Tonelico series, based around a fictional world where humanity and an species of artificial lifeforms called Reyvatails (who can use magic in the form of song) on towers suspended above the planet, which is now uninhabitable.

Kinda fun to play; music is good

Purging; graphics

Ar Tonelico Qoga

Just by reading the title 'Ar Tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel' you should be able to tell that a North American localization did its part providing a little fan series for the import deprived.

depending on your expectation; combat has been changed; aside from the combat; the experience is kept close to the other games; a certain level of charm; filled with "adult" content

for fans of the series/JRPG fans only; if you're looking for turn-based combat; you wont find it here; localization is what you expected; and that's not always a good thing; objectives aren't always clear; underperforming on the PS3; its time for a graphical boost; thanks

Review: Ar tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel for PS3

NIS America has dedicated itself to bringing the Ar tonelico series to North America back in 2007, when it released the first PS2 entry, Ar tonelico: Melody of Elemia . Now, four years later, it is continuing to let Reyvateils out of Japan with Ar tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel , the first Mature...

Multiple difficult levels; great translation; good character portraits; Cosmophere sidequests act like visual novels; item synthesis is available; can see talks with party members; can customize Finnel and Saki's abilities and can talk to Saki and Finnel while resting.

Looks like a PS2 game; physics are screwed up so Aoto may bounce down staircases or have trouble jumping; camera angles are frustrating; some environments look rather lackluster and generic and most battles can be won with button mashing the attack button.

JRPG

Another nice JRPG I bought for my collection. If you're a fan of the genre and value the price to game length ratio then don't hesitate to get it.

Great game for JRPG fans

The Ar Tonelico series have always been great games and the finale is no different. You play as a young man named Aoto, Aoto is a hot-head with a strong sense of duty, kind of a typical character archetype but by no means a stereotype.
