Apple iPod nano (Sixth-Generation)

3.4
Pros: A smaller touchscreen revision of Apple's mid-priced flash RAM media player, available in seven colors. Twin user interfaces include one optimized for the 1.54" display, and another that mimics the iOS operating system of the iPhone and iPod touch.
Cons: Feels like a first-generation version of a new product line rather than a sequel to the iPod nano. Video, gaming, camera, speaker, and microphone features are amongst a laundry list of capabilities dropped from the new model, precluding it from being used as a complete or even substantial...

Small and powerful…

4.4
Verdict: This may be the smallest music player in the world which is just 1.5inch square and 0.35 inch thick. The resolution is crystal clear, thanks to its LCD. Moreover, the touch screen is highly responsive and you don't need to struggle every time you change songs.

The New iPod nano is a Gem.  Really

5.0
Pros: Beautifully designed and beautiful to wear. Focus on music and photos. Lots of other nice features, not hard to find, but tucked just slightly out of sight: FM radio, clock, stopwatch, alarm, VoiceOver, pedometer, Nike Sport interface, voice memos
Cons: Very small and easy to misplace
Verdict: It's amazing how far we've come from the early, clunky iPods with a hard disk and manual controls. This iPad nano is not only a gem, but a full-fledged 21st century, wearable, technological accessory … and necessity.

Apple iPod Nano (2012)

Verdict: With its latest model, Apple has finally fixed the iPod nano. The 5th- and 6th-generations were a radical rethink that didn't work all that well. The 7th-generation nano fixes this problem with another full-scale redesign that includes a larger, sharper touch screen.

iPod nano review (2012)

Pros: Incredibly tiny and light, Aluminum case feels solid, durable, 16:9 display and video playback, Integrated Nike+ functionality
Cons: No camera, Expensive
Verdict: The radical change in design here -- closer to the fourth- and fifth-generation nanos than the last -- won't be universally liked, but the seventh-gen iPod nano is absolutely the best yet.

Apple iPod nano (2012)

3.0
Pros: Very thin and light, yet sturdy. Larger, more responsive touch screen than before. Bundled EarPods are much improved. Finally supports wireless stereo Bluetooth streaming. Includes a pedometer and Fitness app. Stellar battery life
Cons: Still no video recording. No in-line playback controls. Not natively compatible with existing accessories, thanks to the new Lightning Connector
Verdict: With its latest model, Apple has finally fixed the iPod nano. The 5th- and 6th-generation MP3 players were a radical rethink that didn't work all that well; Apple tossed the click wheel design that the first four nano generations used, and replaced it with a tiny, square screen that was too small to...

Apple iPod Nano 6th Generation

2.2
Pros: A 24hour battery life, FM Radio, New multi-touch technology, A 1.5inch display screen
Cons: It is extremely easy to lose and due to its weight and size it is difficult to realise exactly where you have left it
Verdict: The 6th Generation iPod Nano features some great features is incredibly small and light and is a perfect companion to store and play your music collection wherever you go.

Great for the gym

3.0
Pros: Small size, convenient clip, comparatively cheap
Cons: no complaints here
Verdict: I got this for the gym, and i have to say, it's exactly as advertised. It's small, holds some music, and clips to your shirt. No frills, but for the gym, frills are not exactly what I need. I love being able to just clip it on my shirt and start running.

Apple iPod nano Sixth Generation (6G) Review

3.0
Pros: Completely redesigned with Multi-Touch LCD and integrated clip, Incredibly lightweight, compact and versatile..
Cons: ...for a music-only player: Gone are many of last year's key features, Small touch screen can be a challenge to manipulate with big fingers
Verdict: When weighing this year's additions to the nano against what has been subtracted, I am a little surprised that Apple has decided to maintain the same price points at both the 8GB and 16GB capacities.

Apple iPod Nano Review

3.5
Pros: Very compact and lightweight, Good all-round music performance, FM Radio
Cons: No video recording, Audio performance will not impress purists, Lower volume levels than previous Pods, 16 GB version is marginally better value, though priced too close to the 8GB iPod Touch
Verdict: At Rs. 12,700 the Nano is expensive, unless you are looking for something really tiny, in which case, it fits the bill perfectly. Apple has cut corners on performance, something we do not care for.

Apple iPod Nano Review (2010)

Verdict: Since 2005, the iPod Nano has been the mid range portable audio player for Apple. It's always been targeted at consumers looking for more control and versatility over the Shuffle, but with increased portability over the iPod Touch.

The Apple iPod Nano (6th Gen) reviewed

4.2
Verdict: Apple's pedigree in the MP3 market is unsurpassed. Its iPods have sold in the millions and, whether or not you agree with its approach to selling music, there's no arguing over the quality of its hardware. Even by these standards, however, the latest nano makes a bold statement.

Apple iPod Nano Review (Sixth Generation) Review

3.8
Pros: Almost impossibly tiny, Ultra-intuitive touch interface, FM radio, photo browsing and pedometer, Sleek, solid design, Long battery life
Cons: Missing camera, video playback, notes, games, etc, Touch controls limit ‘blind' operation, Expensive
Verdict: Apple strips features from the iPod Nano in favor of a smaller size for its sixth generation, but a slick touch interface helps negate the lost frills.

Apple iPod nano 6G (8 GB)

3.0
Pros: Extremely small, Reasonable quality sound, FM radio
Cons: No more physical controls, Dreadful headphones, No more extra features
Verdict: Apple's latest nano marks a very abrupt change of direction.  Just a year after adding a video camera to its predecessor, Apple has removed it, along with all of the buttons.  We're not sure they learnt anything

Apple iPod nano (sixth generation, late 2010) review

4.0
Pros: Multi-Touch screen and iOS-like interface added, clear and easy to read screen, tuning FM radio easier then previous model, ability to rotate interface, full-screen clock
Cons: Nano less usable than it could be, no physical playback controls or compatible inline remote-equipped earbuds, no video recording, no apps, no title bar on screen
Verdict: No iPod model has received as many makeovers-both minor and dramatic-as the iPod nano. (Perhaps not coincidentally, no other iPod model has sold as well.) Apple iPod nano 6G review

4.0
Pros: Excellent screen, interface works, compact
Cons: Poor headphones, no Voice Control, you can't just slap the buttons through your pocket like previous versions
Verdict: Of all the iPod refreshes made at Apple's September update, the iPod nano has seen the most drastic change. Perhaps we shouldn't be surprised by this. We'd seen details of a small touchscreen as far back as July so the move to touch on the iPod nano was expected.

Review: Apple iPod Nano 16 GB

3.0
Pros: Beautiful if miniscule display. Impressive touch-sensitive interface. Compact, lightweight, minimalist design. Easy-to-use pedometer function. Clock face can be white on black, or the reverse
Cons: Watchband not included. No wireless headphone support, so you'll have to string yourself up with headphone wires. Checking the time can take a few steps. Battery life far shorter than most watches
Verdict: What time is it? Who cares! Apple's newest timepiece puts music, photos and step-counting front-and-center, and lets the minutes fall where they may. Sure, you can check the time, but that's hardly the point with this attractive piece of wrist jewelry.

New Apple iPod nano (2010) review

4.0
Verdict: Somebody at Apple obviously hates the phrase "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" because it has completely redesigned its best-selling iPod, the iPod nano, yet again. This year's model is half the height of the previous generation and has the same clip-on design as the new iPod shuffle .

Apple iPod Nano (6th generation)

3.5
Pros: Nearly half the size of the previous model, Uses unique multi-touch screen navigation, Includes a built-in clip
Cons: Many features have disappeared, No video playback, No camcorder, microphone, speaker, games, calendar, contacts, notes or alarm clock, Touchscreen interface is overkill, requiring more attention than the time-tested click wheel design without delivering many practical benefits
Verdict: For better or worse, the Nano now has fewer features for us to evaluate in terms of performance. As we mentioned earlier, the Nano's touchscreen is technically dazzling in terms of its responsiveness and crisp resolution.
