I bought the Apple Thunderbolt (TB) to Firewire (FW) Adapter to connect my Firewire devices to a 2017MacBook Pro (MBP). However, the product description for the TB to FW adapter fails to specify that the adapter connects ONLY TB2 to FW800.

This product made my connection easy for an iSight camera to connect to my Mac Mini. I still needed another adapter, though.

Easy To Use

Ordered for Firewire ports on our Mac Mini. Picked up a Startech Firewire 800 to 400 adapter as well. Hooked it into an Iogear hub, and works great with an external drive and Firewire DV converter.

Ordered a thunderbolt to firewire adapter. I found the price to be lower at Sweetwater than anywhere else. It arrived in within a couple of days. Great service and the little bag of candy in the box was an interesting and pleasant surprise, a nice way of saying thank you to the customer.
