Apple MacBook Pro MPTT2LL/A (Retina, with Touch Bar-2017) Review

4.2
Pros: Sleek, aluminum construction. Crisp display. Class-leading battery life. Good connectivity (Four USB-C ports with Thunderbolt)
Cons: Choice of ports is only USB-C, making adapters a requirement for older peripherals. Keyboard is somewhat shallow
Verdict: As Apple fan boy No. 42, the release of a new gadget, especially MacBook or iMac, comes with a surge of expectations. Later in the fall, we're looking at a possible launch of the iPhone 8, which may coincide with the 10th anniversary celebrations, and…

Apple MacBook Pro 15 2017 (2.8 GHz, 555) Laptop Review

3.8
Pros: excellent chassis, very good display, huge trackpad with great precision, quiet and good cooling, high WLAN transfer rates, good speakers
Cons: neither USB-A nor HDMI-out, 2.4 GHz WLAN issue with attached USB-C device, fans are (slightly) audible while idling, very expensive – especially the upgrades
Verdict: Apple's multimedia notebook MacBook Pro 15 is back on par with the rivals in terms of processor performance thanks to the Kaby Lake update. The new models are therefore more attractive, especially for power users in need of as much CPU performance as possible.

Apple MacBook Pro with Touch Bar

4.2
Pros: The updated 15-inch MacBook Pro gets faster processing and graphics options. It's still the biggest and most-powerful laptop Apple makes. The giant touchpad is easy to use and battery life is excellent
Cons: Having only USB-C ports can be a hassle. The super-flat keyboard is an acquired taste
Verdict: I'll start off with the good news. If you splurged on one of Apple 's very expensive high-end 15-inch MacBook Pro laptops when its big redesign was launched in the fall of 2016 , you're not going to feel especially put out by this modest mid-2017 update.

Well worth the expense

5.0
Verdict: An extremely powerful and responsive laptop. Brilliant display. Should fit the needs of most users. I am not a gamer so I cannot evaluate that aspect of its features, but it is more than adequate for Office applications, video editing, etc.

Replacing my 2009 MacBook Pro

5.0
Verdict: This is my second MacBook Pro I decided to replace the first one because it could no longer be upgraded to the newest operating system, and despite replacing the battery with a 3rd party battery it never came close to the original battery life when newly bought.I decided to buy a 15" model as it was...

Beautiful and Thin

4.0
Verdict: Apple is trying to swim at the deep end with this design vs. functional spectrum. I can't help thinking the company has lost its way. This 2017 MacBook Pro is thin and light and beautiful. (Too bad the apple logo on the lid doesn't light up anymore.) The screen is bright.
