Alien: Isolation Review – Xbox One (Also on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox 360)

When everyone thinks of making a videogame based upon the Alien franchise, most dream of one based upon the Colonial Marines from Aliens. A lot of classic videogames take more than a slight inspiration from that second movie. Unfortunately, the recent game based upon that concept proved disastrous.

Alien: Isolation Review

From the moment you begin, the atmosphere is dripping from every corner of Alien: Isolation. Creative Assembly have successfully created not only an expansive world to explore and traverse, but also t

Great if you are an Alien fan

I believe that this game is being over-critisized. I have completed the game and although there are some flaws it was a great time. I'm a big Alien movie fan and this game does capture much of that joy. You really do feel at times that you are a character in a movie being hunted.

Alien: Isolation

Deep, intelligent, intense, and utterly unlike any experience before it, Alien: Isolation presents all that's truly great about AAA, and also its evolution.

The Alien is truly terrifying; Amazing recreation of the Alien universe; Smart AI keeps the game unpredictable; Looks astonishing; It's a long game; but intense throughout

Lack of guidance will deter some

Alien: Isolation Review

In Creative Assembly's Alien: Isolation you play as Amanda, the daughter of the series protagonist Ellen Ripley, who is unceremoniously shepherded to Sevastopol. She finds herself on this city-sized space-station after a group of salvagers find the flight recorder to her mother's ship, The Nostromo,...

Actually quite scary; Amazing environments; Excellent background world-building; Amazingly immersive sound design; Tense survival horror gameplay; Solid action horror gameplay; Slavish devotion to source material

While it has a few rough patches and may prove too slow and drawn-out for some players, Isolation does an amazing job of capturing the essence of a classic film and recasting it as a video game.

A spectacular, but flawed game.

To start off I would like to say that I'm not a hardcore Alien fan, so this review won't be biased towards loving it. I would also like to say that I wasn't expecting a whole lot from this game after the massive disappointment that was Colonial Marines.

Scary game

First let me say that this aliens game is much better than the last one, anyway this game is scary indeed, being hunted by an alien with no way to kill it, hiding under tables and lockers when you hear it coming, though my problem with this game is that the aliens seems a bit overpowered but apart...
