Adesso iMouse E3 Review

In the past, we've described the switch from using a traditional mouse to a trackball or ergonomic vertical mouse as taking a leap. It changes the way you interface with your PC, and it can take some time to adjust. The $49.99 iMouse E3, a wired vertical mouse from Adesso, feels like a shortcut when you first start using it: It's surprisingly quick to pick up and use accurately from the get-go. It's shape, though, is less supportive and comfortable than other vertical mice, making that ease of use feel like a compromise rather than a plus.Standing Tall, Falling Flat The iMouse E3 is a basic, budget-priced vertical mouse. Vertical mice, increasingly the go-to ergonomic-mouse form factor, reduce the long-term strain or twist that standard mice impose on your wrist. Adesso's iMouse E3 costs less than most vertical mice, but its off-angle design and lack of thumb support feel like an ergonomic compromise.

Adjustable weight; Shorter acclimation time than other vertical mice; Affordable; Left-handed version available

Slippery grip; Not as supportive as higher-end vertical mice; Limited DPI options; Adjustable weight cover is hard to remove

Much more ergonomic than a standard mouse

Was having issues with my wrist using a normal mouse. Feels much better with this, as I can naturally rest the weight of my hand at a neutral angle on the mouse (I find myself accidentally right-clicking a lot when using a standard mouse now that I'm used to this one). Only nitpicks I'd add: - Would be good if it had a lip that stopped my pinky finger from dragging on the mousepad while using it, I know some more expensive variations have this - Even with all the weights added, still a little light for my personal preference By and large, though, happy with the mouse! (Disclaimer: Was purchased for me by my employer.)
