At 10 inches, the smallest and cheapest Windows 8 convertible is fantastic but flawed.
Pros:
- Lightest & cheapest Win 8 hybrid
- Superb battery life
- Good screen and speakers
- Flexible hinge
- Well-built
Cons:
- Atom performance still disappoints
- Cramped keyboard with poor layout
- Touchpad buttons stiff
- No bundled or optional stylus

Acer ICONIA W510: Budget Win 8 Hybrid Tablet
We have seen quite a few Windows 8 'laptops' that come with touch screens which best utilise the Metro interface of the new OS (we expect many more such models to come out in the next few months).
Pros:
- Very portable
- Solid build
- Responsive screen
- Amazingly long battery life
- Well-priced
Cons:
- Slows down while multitasking
- Erratic touchpad
- Scarce storage

Acer Iconia W510 review
We've been less than enamoured with the recent flurry of Windows RT tablets, but, for less than £500, the Iconia W510 looks to have it all. This 10.1in tablet transforms into a laptop, and, thanks to its Intel Atom processor, has one particularly welcome trick up its sleeve – it runs full Windows 8.

Small yet useful device
This device is small, thin and powerful. It is lighter than my iPad 1 and can run the full Windows 8 not RT so this means it can run any desktop apps. One thing you need to do right away is update the software as video playback and sound was flaky and desktop was laggy.

A great everyday use Tablet...
I have really enjoyed the slim and lightweight design of this system. Not as powerful as it's predecessor the W500 and I really wish they had not done away with the Keyboard but still worth the money. Just be aware of the limited Storage space. Overall I am satisfied with it.

Acer W510 tablet
My friend gave me this tablet as a gift. It's fairly quick and the battery lasts a very long time. It is longer and narrower than my iPad, which I like. It's slightly heavier than I expected, but I like it, it feels sturdier.
