"REVIEW: Acer Is Not An Apple & Its Iconia A500 Tablet Reveals Why"
When JT Wang, Acer's chairman and temporary CEO stood up recently and said that he wanted the Taiwanese Company to be ?more like Apple? and that Acer was a serious competitor in the tablet market I decided to take a look at the new Acer A500 Iconia tablet to see how close the device came to the iPad...
Pros:
- On the looks and efficiency front it is as good as any other Android tablet out there
Cons:
- Acer's A500 Iconia Tablet has a long way to go before it is on a level footing with the Motorola Xoom or the Toshiba Honeycomb Tablet.

Acer Iconia Tab A500
Android tablets come in waves. First there were the budget models, which lapped around our ankles, too often chilling us to the bone with their penny-pinching compromises. Now it's the turn of their expensive cousins, like the Acer Iconia A500 and Asus Eee Pad Transformer.
Pros:
- Nice screen
- Honeycomb OS
- 32GB internal memory
Cons:
- Uninspiring design

Amazing device!
Amazing device! The full size usb and aluminium finish make this tablet a much better choice than the rest of the android honeycomb tablets out there. On the flip side, it is a bit bulkier than the rest, but i havent noticed it since i started using it regularly.
Pros:
- Aluminium Finish
- Full Size USB Port
- Working SD card [unlike Xoom
- Gorilla Glass display
Cons:
- A bit bulkier than the rest of the tablets

Acer Iconia Tab A500
Tweet Acer joins the 10" tablet crowd with its A500 that's powered by a Tegra 2 chipset while running on Android Honeycomb. In theory it should be a good device, but does reality care to differ?
Pros:
- Solid build
- speedy Tegra 2 chipset
- USB port a nice addition
Cons:
- A bit heavy
- screen flashes sometimes on when locked
- not many movie files supported

Acer Iconia Tab A500 tablet with Android 3 'Honeycomb'
Unlike the Iconia Tab W500 we reviewed last issue the Iconia Tab A500 uses the Android operating system, not Windows. The latest version, Android 3 is designed for tablet computers in ways that previous versions, designed for phones, weren't.

Acer Iconia Tab A500 Review
Tablets are the latest must-have – sure, they can't do what a laptop PC can, but nevertheless they offer all kinds of games and video options, as well as a choice from thousands of apps.
Cons:
- Weighty
- not all will like Honeycomb
- battery life average
