Acer Iconia Tab A500
When the Android smartphone OS matured, the market was flooded with a whole load of new mobiles. Now, with the arrival of Android Honeycomb, Google's specially designed tablet OS, the same thing seems to be happening with...
Pros:
- The screen isn't perfect but it's still very good and highly contrasted
- High-quality build and finish
- Smooth Android interface with nice additions from Acer
- Plenty of connections and good sound output
- Good for web browsing and games
Cons:
- Battery life is OK but could be better
- Native multimedia compatibility
- Camera is too red or too blue
- Honeycomb needs to mature

The screen graphics are very good, and the control system is very responsive - but can be fooled if a thumb holding the side of the screen rests on the screen. The protective case is very good, and makes holding the tablet even more commfortable and secure.
Pros:
- Comfortable to hold and use
- Voice input (a very neat addition) is quite precise - unless it picks up the TV sound as well..

if you can control the urge to use the A500 when first purchased...charge the battery completely before turning it on. I get about 10 to 11 hours of batterly life on each charge. get a tight fitting case to protect the A500. super antenna for the WIFI..
Pros:
- great battery life if charged properly when first purchased
- great screen quality
- great video quality
Cons:
- none so far after 2 months of ownership

Acer Iconia A500
While Apple's iOS is found on a solitary phone, Android can be found on tons of devices – so it's perhaps no surprise to see the same strategy in the tablet marketplace.

Acer Iconia Tab A500 review
Acer's Iconia Tab A500 was just one among many contenders to Apple's tablet crown at Mobile World Congress back in January . Some, such as the much-hyped Motorola Xoom, failed to impress, and even the excellent Asus Eee pad Transformer couldn't manage to topple the mighty Apple iPad 2 .

Acer Iconia Tab A500
The Acer Iconia Tab A500 is Acer's 10.1-inch Android tablet - as designated by the "A" in it's product name, unlike the "W" of the W500 tablet that we reviewed previously. At 10.1-inches it faces a number of Honeycomb rivals such as the Asus Eee Pad (Transformer), the Motorola Xoom and the Samsung...
Pros:
- USB
- HDMI
- working microSD slot
- Honeycomb hasn't been too badly interfered with
Cons:
- Acer's software additions are largely dismissible and bring little value
- design is rather clunky
- size
- short power lead
- poor video support out of the box

Excellent but incompleted
ACER ICONIA W500 is really good and has Windows 7. It is upgradable to WIN 8 and believe it works wonder in WIN8. It is a mini computer with touch facility. This TAB is good and friendly.
