Personal Experience I have only had this PJ a week and I think it is awesome.3D is very good, 2D to 3D is impressive but not great. my old optoma 101 and 201's work great.one of the reasons I went with this PJ. I previously owned the optoma HD66, infocus78, older Benq and sony plus a Acer H5360.

Very impressed

My 3D content is Half-SBS format and the projector's 'auto' mode doesn't handle it correctly by default. I have to manually set 'side-by-side' mode in the menu each time I go to 3D mode as it seems to always reset back to 'auto' when you leave 3D mode.
Pros:
  • Stunning picture right out of the box
Cons:
  • Not really a con
  • but if you are replacing an older projector
  • this might have a shorter throw or lack the adjustments you might need.

Better than 1080P

Awesome projector literally awesome. I've owned a few projectors over the years (both LCD and DLP) and this one is by far the best. I will admit i was a little skeptical about purchasing this product as it was an Acer product and i haven't known them for making any "projectors", but since I've owned...

Acer H6510BD review

While most home cinema projectors are comparatively dim and designed for use in a darkened room, the DLP Acer H6510BD has a bright 3,000 ANSI lumens lamp. This means it's more of an all-round projector that you can use in a lit room.

Acer H6510BD

A flexible and bright projector with a high-quality 2D mode, but 3D lets it down slightly

For the price this is an amazing projector!

This projector blows my old Benq w1000 out of the water. Both projectors have a native resolution of 1080p but watching Avatar with this Acer I am seeing details that didn't exist with the Benq. Features- Put plainly this projector has all of the features that "I" need.
Pros:
  • Price
  • very quiet
  • very bright
  • very sharp
Cons:
  • Placement flexibility
  • black levels
  • light leakage

Acer H6510BD Projector Review

For those who don't see or don't mind rainbow artifacts, the Acer H6510BD Projector is a potential bargain, with 1080p resolution and full 3D support. The Acer H6510BD Projector is a big step up from the Acer H6500 that it replaces in Acer's line (although the H6500 is still available from various Web sites at this writing). Both offer full HD resolution, at a native 1080p, but the H6510BD is brighter, at a rated 3,000 lumens; it adds full 3D support for video devices like Blu-ray players and FiOS or cable boxes; and it's about $100 less than the H6500 was when it was introduced. Add in reasonably good image quality, as long as you're not bothered by rainbow artifacts, and it's a potentially good pick as a low-cost home entertainment projector. Much like the Acer H5370BD( at Amazon) that I recently reviewed, the H6510BD is small and light enough that if you don't have a room to set it up in permanently, you can easily store it away when you're not using it, and then set it up only when you need it. In fact, it's even lighter than the H5370BD, at four pounds, 13 ounces. As with the Acer H5370BD also, the H6510BD comes with a so...
Pros:
  • Inexpensive
  • Native 1080p resolution
  • Full 3D support for video sources like Blu-ray players and FiOS or cable boxes
Cons:
  • Potentially annoying rainbow artifacts
  • Underpowered audio
