Acer Aspire S7 Review (S7-391-6413)
The Acer Aspire S7 may be one of the company's first touchscreen ultrabooks, but the company certainly knew what it was doing when it designed the S7 as it looks really nice and can perform very well with its included Intel Core i5 processor.
Very thin and light. Runs Windows 8. Good battery life with extra battery pack. Nice HD display that can be viewed from almost any angle. Fast processor. Very quiet operation even with fan running. Fan did operate only once in one week.
- Very thin and nice to look at
- HD screen
- Touch screen
- Quality feel
- Lighted keyboard
- Fast processor
- Screen does not open flat (stays at an angle
- Flimsy charger connection (afraid it will break
- Missing micro hdmi to hdmi adapter in the package (had to buy one to feed video to larger screen
Fans produce 50db
Scroll the page, change the internet tab and your cpu is immediately under load and you get an airplane. It has got 2 fans running at 10K rpm and they do need to run that fast as the heat-sink is probably non-existent given this thin profile in the back. Beside that, keys have absolutely no travel.
Excellent Travel Ultralight Travel Lapto
I've set it up and done some general usage. I purchased it because I needed a light-weight alternative to my previous lsptop. So far it seems to be fulfilling that objective. I was skeptical of Windows 8 and would have preferred Windows 7, but with the Classicshell installed, it's Windows 7 mode is...- Clear Bright Screen
- Fast processor
- Very Light Weight
- Keyboard Tactile Feedback
Acer Aspire S7
The company flawlessly answers staffers' anonymous questions via Facebook and Twitter, but its phone, email and live chat techs give incorrect advice. Value The best doesn't come cheap.- Exquisite design
- 1,080p HD (or more) touch screen
- Incredibly thin
- light
- Fast performance
- Improved keyboard
- battery life
- Few reviews for new model
Worked straight out of the box, easy connections on wifi, bluetooth etc, decent speed considering only an i5 processor. This will never replace a full sized laptop, but I have done everything from powerpoiint to excel and it hasn't crashed or frozen once.
- Super lightweight
- great touch screen
- good battery life
- solid state hard drive capacity of 100GB free space after OS
Acer Aspire S7 review (2013): the second time's a charm for Acer's flagship Ultrabook
The second time's a charm for Acer: the company's refreshed S7 Ultrabook addresses all the things we disliked about the original. Just be prepared to pay a premium over competing laptops with similar specs.- Nice build materials
- Great viewing angles
- Fast performance
- longer battery life
- Improved touchpad
- Now runs quietly
- Enormous power brick
- No 2,560 x 1,440 option in the US
- Power button is difficult to press
- Expensive for what it is
Got the item very fast. Item is pretty good.
They gave a super good deal on this laptop. This laptop is one of the best laptops out there if you you're looking for something that is light but super fast. Touchscreen is super responsive and a huge plus.

If you're looking for a svelte laptop to show off, yet still be able to do real work in Windows 8, the Acer Aspire S7-392-6411 is the ultrabook you want at the top of the list.- Very thin and light
- Strong build quality/sturdy materials
- Dual friction hinge
- Very good benchmark test performance
- Speedy wake from sleep
- 8GB of memory
- 2.4 and 5GHz Wifi support
- No Bloatware
- Very good battery life
- Full size HDMI port
- Odd keyboard layout
- Could use a larger SSD array
- Thinness is expensive
Acer's Aspire S7 gets a fourth-gen Intel Core i7 CPU and more built-in ports, but it has a couple of issues
Acer's Aspire S7 (the 391 model) was introduced last year to quite a few ‘oohs' and ‘ahs', mainly because it was a thin and light little thing with an attractive design. This year's Aspire S7-392 looks just like the old one, but it has a few significant differences in its configuration.- Looks good and feels good overall
- Long battery life
- Very good screen
- Keyboard could be better
- Touchpad clicked whenever we picked up the unit
- Power button location
- No accelerometer
