AMD Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz

The Ryzen 5 2600 is AMD's most affordable 12 nm processor you can buy, and fills the shoes of the popular Ryzen 5 1600. Thanks to its twelve threads, it will breeze through multi-threaded workloads, and its gaming performance has been improved a lot too, beating last generation's Ryzen 7 1800X...

Gaming performance matches Ryzen 7 1800X; Restores AMD's competitiveness in the sub-$200 market; Good energy efficiency; Outstanding performance in multi-threaded apps; Unlocked CPU multiplier; Supports existing AM4 motherboards; CPU cooler included; Soldered IHS

Gaming performance lower than competing Intel Core i5 chips; Limited overclocking potential; Memory still a bit more problematic than on Intel; Lacks integrated graphics

The Ryzen 5 2600 is the little brother of the 2600X that we already discussed last time. Just like that processor, it's a 6-core CPU with all the improvements of the Ryzen 2 generation, such as the 12nm production process and the cache's much tighter response times.

AMD Ryzen 5 2600 review

Right so like, if you can spare the 30 bucks, just go with the X model See, AMD really finetuned and tweaked the X models close to the maximum performance, and that performance is more in balance energy consumption wise opposed to when you manually tweak a processor.

Excellent Performance and Affordable

A great CPU with good performance per core. It comes with stock cooler that is good for every day use but I would replace it for a better cooler if used for gaming and overclocking. Overall the AMD Ryzen 5 2600 6-core CPU is a great choice for anyone who is looking for performance and affordability.

My Computer Never Feels Stupid With This as Its Brain

This CPU is perfect. The only problem I had was that the Wraith Cooler being a little annoying to install as the springs over the screws took almost the entire weight of my body to get it into the thread of my backplate. It went in though and everything seems to be functioning perfectly fine.

Installing the CPU was very easy, built the PC myself. Note though; the thermal paste on the cooler isn't covered by anything, no sticker or anything, so don't try to peel it off like I did. The included fan has great build quality and cools very well during gaming, temps in the 60's during gaming.

AMD Ryzen 5 2600 6 Core,12 Threads up to 3.9 GHz Max Boost, Socket AM4, 19MB total Cache , 65W TDP , with Wraith Stealth Cooler

I bought this a month ago for a replacement build. It has yet to seem too slow for whatever I have thrown at it. Especially when when Win10 decides it MUST do something in the background, and you don't notice anymore. Stealth fan included is pleasantly quiet.
