Sweet!
I upgraded my CPU from the AMD FX 6300 to this 8350. I do a lot of HD video work with Power Director 14 which is a very CPU demanding program. Not only is editing video much more responsive and stable but the render times have improved dramatically.

Best value high end CPU you can get, miles better than any i5. And just wait for DirectX 12 adoption - single core performance is a thing of the past! Note: DO NOT use stock cooler - CPU is rated 125W but peaks 160W (even without overclocking). Use CM Seidon or Nepton 120XL for best performance.

AMD vs. Intel: 57 processor megatest
That the fastest processors are currently made by Intel is not really a secret, but what is the best choice when you want to spend up to £ 50, £100 or £150? To answer that question we conducted a megatest of 57 current AMD ans Intel CPUs.

awesome processor
My machine is smoking! This processor runs all of my games with everything turned all the way up on a three monitor system without even a hiccup! No need to waste money on an expensive Intel processor for the same performance.

"Great"
Runs games like a charm and I recommend getting the cooler master hyper 212 evo because the stock heat sink is loud but it does keep the core under 50 degrees.

FX-8350
This is a good processor and wod recommend it to any1 who loves high end gaming and needs raw power for the most demanding applications. I run a dual boot system of w7 and ppc64 and works realy well on both with a SSHD drive give this a shot and you won't be disappointed aspecialy with fx sabertooth...
Pros:
- This thing is realy good considering it's not 9370 or 9570 as the 9370 is a 8350 overclocked by default when purchased
- For a processor running at 4.0 and the price it beats even the Intel when paired with right mobo
Cons:
- When I purchased this cpu I was not impressed after installing it to get Red CPU_LED n removed it to find out the pins were bent when purchased it
- I have never had one processor over the yrs of building with bent pins n have built 20 systems in last 10yrs

Very Fast
My FX-8350 has worked flawlessly for 6 months running everything I threw at it with relative ease. Any problems people run into with video games while using this chip is due to an insufficient GPU or a faulty chip. runs faster than anything but top of the line i7's and i5's.

The next best thing to a 9370/9590 or an Intel Counter part.
Got this CPU for my X-Mas Upgrade, and coming from a C2Q Q9550 @ 4.3Ghz, I must say WOW, On BF3, BF4 and Crysis WOW. On WoW and ETS2, kinda okay. It was worth the $190 i gave for her, and will serve me well for the Future games.
Pros:
- Runs 8 Cores
- lots of Cache
- Runs all games Maxed
- Great Price
Cons:
- HOT
- Need WC for Pushing OC's
- IPC ain't ground breaking
- did I say HOT

Locked away in my study, on a dark and cold winter's day, I whimper at each email, SMS and IM message I receive. My computer monitor is my only source of light; fear my only companion.
Pros:
- Very fast
- amazing value
- easy to install
Cons:
- Run hot
- loud fan when trying to keep it cool
