AMD Ryzen 3 1200 3.1 GHz

4.4
Verdict: AMD's Ryzen 3 1200 is aggressively priced at $110, which makes it the most affordable Ryzen available. With clock frequencies ranging from 3.1 GHz Base to 3.4 GHz Boost, it is clocked not much different than the Ryzen 5 1400, which also has four physical cores, but includes the SMT technology on...

AMD Ryzen 3 1200 Quad-Core CPU Review

Verdict: The AMD Ryzen 3 1200 Quad-Core AM4 CPU is launching today with an MSRP of just £104.99. That's a full £20 cheaper than the Ryzen 3 1300X, making it even better value for money. The 1300X does have the performance edge, and it'll offer a higher XFR overclocking on its own.

3.5
Pros: Four physical cores for much less than competing Intel Core i5 chips, Gaming performance on par with similar Intel chips
Cons: Lacks thread-doubling SMT tech of pricier Ryzen chips, Better-performing, higher-clocked Ryzen 3 1300X costs just $20 more
Verdict: AMD's entry-level Ryzen CPU is a good pick for gaming or general computing, edging out Intel's pricier Core i3. But if performance is key to you, the higher-clocked Ryzen 3 1300X is a better buy for $20 more.

Best speed for money for low level processes

5.0
Verdict: Super fast for the price. Also keep in mind this does not have a APU built into it. Even though the B350 motherboards have a video output the CPU does not have the APU so you will need a video card.

CPU was missing/stolen.

5.0
Verdict: The only thing that was in the box was the heatsink, not the cpu. It had seemed like someone ripped open at the side of the box and stolen the cpu from inside the small box it was kept in.

Great for the price!

5.0
Verdict: I bought this processor with an ASUS A320M-K motherboard and spent $130 on it. It is an amazing processor for the price, and it is a really great option for budget builds, especially since it is quad-core.

Awesome Processor!!!

5.0
Verdict: I got this for 8.5K and this is working cool with my GTX 1050ti. I overclocked it to 3.9ghz with the stock cooler without heating up. I am using 16 GB of ddr4 RAM and it is giving 80 frames in GTA V.

Good Ryzen starter CPU.

4.0
Pros: Unlocked multiplier Runs cool Good performance for the money Nice stock cooler
Cons: Single threaded performance is still not up to par with modern Intel budget offerings, which makes itself most apparent in some games "Only" 4 threads, and limited overclocking potential (3.8 - 4.1 GHz depending on silicon lottery), holds this chip back
Verdict: This is a great entry to the Ryzen world, with okay overclockability, good gaming performance, and adequate productivity performance. It's weaker IPC vs Intel, coupled with its limited overclocking headroom, hold it back a bit.
